Im having a lot of problems with 63 as bears. Its either bad a5 maps where the bears hit the walls (a5 is such shit in general), blighter as gboss or other goofy crap i cant really get close to.
Where do bears cap out without extensive rift fishing solo? Even little zombies hurt
Last time I checked the leaderboards were full of people running Helltooth Bears up to GR69 or so, but up there it usually IS fishing for the right rift.
You also might want to look into using the new season only mojo with the reduced damage on first hits, which helps tremendously with survival (talking about little zombies hurting you).
I would suggest using Henri's Perquisition offhand, with either elite damage or firewall damage rolled on it.
You don't need to be incredibly close to mobs - just close enough to keep your passive effects in play (bane of the trapped, grave injustice, etc).
I'm not certain you're aware of the subtlety of zombie bear functionality, but putting your back to a wall narrows the cone of outgoing bears and ensures that they start their march in front of you, so you don't see bears running in place stuck on terrain to your sides.
I recently cleared 65 with no issues and a very low performance computer, and you have higher paragon levels than I. I'm sure you can manage it if you keep chugging. I'm confident I could be doing ~GR70 if I had a good computer.
I find that density dictates my success more than map, because you can often find navigable terrain for packs on most tilesets. Just pick your battles and fish a lot I guess. Also, I would play your character more like a WW rend barb to pad your reliance on density and reduce your dependence on terrain. Kite 2 packs to a navigable area and fight them separately, jumping between them to re-up on walls/pirhanado and to avoid ground effects. Add me, Clownfish1350, and we can discuss game mechanics that help push higher.
Also, the pyrogeist build is viable, but I strongly prefer spiders because in the event that I'm backed up against a wall and low on mana from spamming bears into a rift guardian (rare, but it happens), I can lace the ground with spiders that can hit the boss and any adds that spawn and be back in action quickly, whereas the pyrogeists cap out and you're left essentially doing nothing.
Thanks, i swapped to Henri's and it wasnt as bad as i thought it would be (lack of pick up radius), proc is better than it looks. Pushed a couple 64s and missed them by 2secs to 2mins (did like 5) and got bored because i was getting horrible maps.
Got perdition on one when I had a big lead, got fed up and geared up my chicken/carn.
I lag for someone reason walking down an empty hallway as helltooth, no idea why. i7, ssd, 16gigs mem and on Fios. My other chars dont have that feeling like im moving through water.

Will push again when they fix it.
