3rd t6 rift after I finished the gear, out dropped a marvelously crappy FD with 3100ish dps with dex/vit/mystic ally. The Inna Staff without 10% was around 3300 dps.
Is the FD better even with the garbage dps? Do I roll 10% dmg on it or LPSS? the 200 from inna's set barely kept me alive in grift 30. I also have crudest boots, 84% depth diggers, string of ears and vigilante belt. No WH or holy SoJ.
Is the socket or crit damage better for the SWK amulet? I have a couple decent amulets once I get a sunwuko helm, but no great immune amulet. Best I have is probably dex/as/socket/cc or chd. Which EoP may still be better.
Hello, I am just returning from an on-again-off-again love affair with D3. Below is the Q:A as required for the post, but I am at a loss as to what to go for. I have a Vengeful Wind(or w/e the season only 1h for monks is called) and I am not sure if I should go for that given the pants im wearing, or if they are worth keeping. I am afraid of the bags on my main but I am asking about him too. For the below M=Main and S=Seasons. I am mainly on my seasons, as I said, but for no other reason than the monk only wep (i thought was a recipe - derp moment lol). Anywho, I'll get to the info...
BTag= Chikin#1937 ; Characters are M: Foreman - S: Garlic (she's my seasonings monk)
"Seasons" or "Normal" Both, mainly seasons
Do you play mostly solo or in groups Solo mainly, at times i will duo with roommates. If they all play its a 4 group party
Torment Level or Grift Tier you are currently playing on and aiming for
Playing on = M: t3 and gr14 (havent him played much in new patch) - S: t2 gr14
Aiming = t6 farming on both. as high as I can achieve
Be clear about your current problems aka "Dying too fast" | "Not doing enough damage" | "Dont know what to upgrade"
I have no idea what to upgrade or what to aim for in the new setup and all I am finding on YT and other places talk about 'go ahead and farm them on t5/6 and blah blah blah'.... Im not at t5/6 yet tho, im stuck in t2 lol!! I just need help getting to a good farming setup/routine so I can get there and no problem. I understand that its going to take time and all, but it feels like I got stuck at t2 on my main and since I just hit that threshold with my seasons I figured it was time to ask for help. On t2 i still randomly get pummel F'd by the occasional rare but trash mobs die in 5-10 sec and rares die in 30sec-2min depending on strength.
Any help is much appreciated. Time for bed, ill check back in a day or so and hope for a reply Thanks in advance!
NIce gear overall, but I would suggest the following:
Chest - craft new with Dex/vit/AR/3 sockets... if your really lucky get -% melee / ranged as secondary.
Head - get Eye of Peshkov for 100% uptime on BoH
Amulet - get Sun Woko, with same stats as you have now, maybe a socket and get Pain Enhancer / Taguk
Shoulders - same as you have now, just with Dex/vit/AR/CDR
Boots - same as you have now, just with Dex/Vit/AR
Belt - reroll vit higher
Change the rune on your mantra to the dodge rune.
I got one shotted in GR 37 a LOT, while I was playing with my DH friend. We did not use unity. Need advise if unity ring is the solution or what should I be looking for? If I take a look at my monk I feel that only some minor changes could be done...(WH more CHD, FD with %dam...). I capped at around GR 34-35 while playing with this DH friend. I didn't try solo GR yet, as I'm lacking a unity and "follower cannot die" token for my Templar.
I've been enjoying my season softcore monk a lot, but i seem to have trouble pushing higher then grift 36. I'm currently ranked 489, but I'm not sure if I can actually push higher without having crazy density + conduit luck or similar.
Could anyone have a look at my armory and tell me any glaring flaws in spec, gear, or what to gamble from Kadala? I'm currently trying to get a better FD, although besides the damage roll, I do like the LOH + LPSS FD I got atm.
Normal, SC. Mostly solo, group of 2 with a friend (crusader). Grift 30 with luck, i usually stop at 29.
I want to change my set amulet for hellfire amulet and the stone of jordan for a ring with 50% extra spirit generated (forgot the name). I know i have to find a better RoRG. Any other items i should change / buy from Kadala. I have a variation of this gear with the boots who summon 2 mystic allies for extra 10% damage.
So...what item should i change other than the RoRG? Should i enchant crit chance on my amulet for socket (pain enhancer)?
[SC]Really appreciate any feedback as I don't have much experience with this game, just following a build I saw on here.
Mostly play in a group.
Think we've done GRift 34/35 successfully.
I know I have 1 extra piece of SWK however I've been searching for the Eye of Peshkov spirit stone for a long time.
Would appreciate if you could tell me things that need complete replacements, if it's for a better version of the same item then what stats I'm looking for, and also if there's anything I can try re-rolling right now.
Playing mostly rifts in groups, no ambitions in grifts atm.
Any suggestions as to what I should use my bloodshards for? Anything obvious I should reroll? I'm waiting for a better Flying Dragon so I will not use a gift on my current one. Any tips are appreciated
Hi, all! Not sure where to go from here, as I just got 4pc Sunwuko's. I would like to fill in more set items to take advantage of the RoRG, as well as a better weapon, but overall I'm not sure what I should move towards (aside from Ancient items, of course). Exploding Palm has been fantastic with this build, and I've managed to get much higher in Greater Rifts than I normally do (26 is my personal best, nothing to write home about), but I know there's lots of room for improvement.
Hi guys. I've just recently got back into D3 and have been trying to gear my monk up. Currently doing T3s and T4s. I find I can survive fine on T4s, but my damage is kinda lacking (currently at 731k sheet dps). Was wondering if anyone had any advice for me? Would be much appreciated! Thanks!
I know it used to be that monks prefer 2 1-handers due to the faster attack speed and spirit generation. Not sure if this is still true (most of my monk knowledge is pre-RoS). But I found a nice ancient staff which seems to have nice dps. Should I stick with it and grind for new 1-handers?
At the moment, I have a 2-piece Sunwuko and a 1-piece Inna, as well as a 3-piece Aughild's. It doesn't seem like I can push Sunwuko or Inna to a 4-piece set bonus together while keeping Aughild's. Which set should I prioritise? I've been trying for an RORG. Just no luck at all so far. So for now, it looks like I have to focus on one set.
I have zero idea what I'm doing. I play a few nights a week and only recently returned to the game after several years away. I die crazy fast and don't feel like i'm doing anything for damage. The numbers on the inventory window are meaningless to me because I don't know what is considered acceptable. Lost cause? Maybe. But really need some help getting started. I've tried the builds with no spirit generator and I can't seem to make them work. I'm playing a monk because it was my most played character prior to taking an extended break.
Currently playing T6, highest Grift I was able to solo was 30, so far. I came back for season 2, planning to play another character than monks this time (almost exclusively played monk before), but when someone told me, monks would be one of the strongest classes this season, I couldn't pass up on that Playing mostly solo, sometimes with friends, casually.
I didn't read up on any build changes or anything, Sunwuko seemed very powerful, so I went for that. Gungdos are awesome. Went lightning because I found a matching Sunwukos amulet, a good EotS and lots of Thousand Storms stuff.
Trying out the new gems, and they seem to be fairly powerful, defensively. I had some survivability issues when first starting on T6 after acquiring Wukos, so build and gems are very defensive.
Points I'd like to ask/improve are: - Spirit generation: Ally + boots doesn'tseem to cut it without CDR, whats the usual/best solution here? Whats the best generator to use? Still FoF? Or none at all? - 4 pc Inna's desirable? (pants belt chest) Or anything better here? - Which gems to use? I am pretty fond of Esoteric Alteration, but once I have enough toughness, I probably don't need that anymore. BotP is still in because its my highest follow-up gem, but there are probably better ones. And Gizzard seems to be awesome, since I lack recovery without it. It already out-regens a lot of DoTs on T6, but I can see it being weaker on higher Grifts. Thoughts? - Any more must-haves? Or would getting upgrades just mean getting better/ancient versions of existing items?
You have spirit problems cause you lack Incense Torch. Upto 50% reduced cost on WoL is huge. (get it even if you lose sheet dps).
Spirit generation will be really bad if you don't invest in CDR. Go for diamond in headpiece (get Leoric's Crown to double the effect). Looking at your profile you have literally zero CDR and no incense so you will drain yourself very fast. You really don't want to have a generator (they are really terrible with 2h - takes ages to regen spirit even with spirit runes) on your bar as you will lose another important skill. Other solutions ? go for spirit regen rune on EP and change mantra to sweeping wind with spirit regen. Seems like you will do less damage, but without spirit you would just stand there poking stuff with your stick anyway.
Now about inna set and gems. Inna set is great if you are running with taeguk - with 6.6% RCR it costs almost nothing and spamming it stacks your gem buff. All mantras are a nice addition. I don't have definitive answer about gems are they are really personal. When you feel like you die way too much then go for seasonal gems. For pure damage - taeguk, bott and botp.
