Just came back to D3 and got my first 60! I am currently running a tempest rush setup but it is not great for higher MP. I could really use advice on gearing up and where the gold could be best spent.
Do you really need that stone of Jordan? I use Inner Storm rune with Sweeping Wind - that gives me enough Spirit regeneration. I also run 1 fewer passive for spirit regeneration.
You should get better pants. Mine were only about 10m.
For the long term, self crafted Shoulders, Bracers and Gloves and Amulett can improve you too. Might take a while to farm the essences. For my mediocre selfmade gear I needed 250 essences and 20m gold for crafting.
this gear is for TR. I plan on dual wielding. I've been crafting. Still no luck yet. I guess what im asking is a start on the dual wield build for higher MP. I'm assuming echoing fury in one hand and maybe the whon Kim Lau offhand

EF is VERY situational because of the fear. You need to not only run after mobs, but also need some form of freezing on them preferably. If you're running with that than cool. Otherwise just get a nice high DPS MH with Socket, life steal, and crit chance/damage. Off-hand is right on with WKL. Keep in mind when looking at a WKL though that with around 24% more lightning skill damage and 6% Lightning damage that a 800ish DPS WKL actually be more equivalent to a 1100ish (I think) DPS weapon.
Also of note, try to stay away from attack speed increase on weapons. While nothing is "wrong" per say with that, the numbers you see on the weapon's DPS are a lie (in a sense) and really you more care about the damage range. That's the important thing. So if you can get the higher DPS numbers WITHOUT attack speed... See where I'm going?
Gear wise in general you want as much crit chance/damage as possible. 45%/450% are the two kind of "minimum" numbers to shoot for. You also obviously need either a stacked resist (and One With Everything) or lots of All Resist, like 500+ or so. Keeping your attacks per second around 2.1 will also help a lot.
For a decent dual wield build for MP10 look at what I got. Nothing was "Super" expensive but patience is the key to get stuff cheap. Most I spent on something was 150 mil. Also be patient and craft, craft, craft.
I run MP10 solely with this build and have run with individuals like RukSak so you can ask him how I fair with it . I die rarely and kill elites within 30 to 45 secs depending on the attributes. I also run without Serenity and OWE.
IMHO getting AS as high as you can with High CC/CD is the way to go. More Nadoes, more LS, more Mana Generation. I have no issues with any skills I use with my setup. I can spam either Bells/CS/Palm and my Mantra without running out of spirit but I prefer CS. This is especially true with the new Monster Density patch. I can even run TR withut running out of Mana due to Monster Density because you only have to run 30 yds now to hit another monster pack to regen mana.
There is nothing wrong at all with running a low fear EF. I love mine. Actually the fear can save your ass from time to time. Get what gear you feel you want, just don't discount specific gear choices without getting multiple opinions. It really isn't bad at all, especially with the new density.
I had already bought the EF before reading the post saying not to get it. I love to hate it. It can be frustrating with the fear but it is also saving me. I am currently farming mp8. I'm not sure what i need to do to my gear to be mp10 ready.
Raezo, if you want higher paper DPS get rid of WKL. If you can afford it, get a crit Mempo. Also, I have found, for me, surviving easily in MP10 required 2 LS weapons. Others can play MP10 with one LS weapon and perhaps a little LoH. Perhaps there are players doing it with one LS weapon, but if you want to "stand in the fire" go with 2 LS weapons. Just my 2 cents.

Do not get a EF.
