Right now Im running DW, 20k DMG, 700 AR and 2.15 IAS with 1500 LoH. I can kill and farm elites but sometimes it takes a while. my queston is, Is it better to use all thoese crit hit, dmg gears for better dmg ? I saw some Monk can do 140k dps when they buffs or w/e. I know thoese crit hit and dmg gears are exppensive. thats why I want to ask around before I start to buy it.t
thanks
I just finished the game using a crit build, 18k dmg with blazing wrath. 30% crit and 200% crit dmg. I have 8k armor with hard target, 11k with keen eye and enchantress, but only 800 resists. Its not high end stats, but i can defensively handle act 3 and 4 with little to no problem. So offensively I rely very much on crits, sweeping wind + cyclone to deal most of my dmg. It's slow, since you cant face tank everything like in act 2 with that amount of dmg, but with some kiting it's doable and little to no skipping pack is needed
Hey Guys,
I too would love some explanation for how your Monks with 40+% crit and 200-300% crit damage are doing it?
I'm new to the monk (I can farm Act 3, but slowly) My Wizard was my first, - but the whole 80K damage Blizzard/Hyrda play style got old for me, so I switched to monk.
What I have seen so far is that its very cheap to gear High Dex and Hight double resists.
Its not so cheap to gear high resists and Crit chance.
Its crazy to try to gear High double resists, Crit chance AND crit damage (not to mention you need high LoH).
So - My Monk right now has 15K damage, 1200 LoH, 950 resists and 7200 armor. My Dex is around 1100, crit chance is right at 30%, Crit damage is still base 50%.
My question is: What do I sacrifice to get more Crit damage? The few pieces I have seen with Double Resists / Crit damage / Crit Chance / APS / Dex.. it just gets too expensive too fast.
Right now I'm planning on just saing up 20-50 Mil chunks and splurging for 1 amazing item at a time that has everything, for example, next id like a pair of gloves with 90+dex 7+APS, 7%+crit chance, 100 total Resists - after that a Helm with 100+resists, 150+dex, a socket, 4+crit chance and40%+ crit damage. Both of those two pieces would likely run in the 50mil range if not more.
Is saving for crazy good items like that the best way to go? Or have some of you been bulcking certain stats on 1 item to try to save (As in, Get MASSIVE dex and APS on one item, and dont go double resists, then go for MASSIVE double resists on another item to make up for it)
My monk is 600 resist, 30% crit chance 200% crit damage, 5k armor, 28000 dps. I started building crit chance/dmg onto him a couple days ago and it has HELPED ALOT. 5 days ago I was sitting at about 16000 dps. I am by no means rich and have probly only droped up to 20 mill on gear over the last month. I also noticed once I got my crit really high, attack speed here and there was giving me nice dps increase's also.
