Here is a build that takes advantage of the 'Combination Strike' passive and relies heavily on increased attack speed to maintain short duration effects, all coupled with a mantra to dump excess spirit into for massive damage boosts and 7 sided strike for incredible damage when all buffs/debuffs are active.
As you can see, at moments you can find yourself with 108% bonus damage, whereupon you can instantly teleport to your target (Sudden Assault) and dish out a >2000% Seven Sided Strike.
A max damage rotation would look something like this:
Deadly Reach x3, Fist of Thunder, WotHF, Activate Mantra(If you have the spirit), Crippling Wave, SSS
Eh honestly i think thats over kill. Ya it would be nice to have that huge stacking damage bonus but you miss out on so much utility as a monk. Plus you make it where you have to do a rotation for a diablo game....
In harder difficulties you are going to have to have Breath of Heaven or Serenity available at all times since the damage is going to be intense unless you stack a dodge build.
Plus as this spec you have nothing to dump your spirit into, except for every 30 seconds. The monk is a class built on building up spirit then dumping it on powerful abilities.
The idea is to dump your spirit into the mantra, to confer the 3 second damage bonus.
Also this could easily be viable in pvp or when grouping, especially since you only need to hit your rotation when SSS is back up and otherwise you're just using generator attacks/dumping into mantra. It is definitely a single-minded build though, I'll grant you that.
Eh i guess i could see it kind of a pvp build. But i dont think it will stand its own in inferno where survivability is king. It does do some raw sick damage but you will get smacked like a little school girl wtih no defensives
