I usually don't create threads in the classes section. But playing the beta lately, something's been bothering me with the Monk. Basically I'm annoyed a bit at how the weapons I have equipped aren't being used in the animation of the skill. Obviously if I'm wearing claws I'm not gonna strap claws to my back while using Deadly Reach. But how come with the staff they couldn't incorporate it into the skill as opposed to how I have it strapped to my back?
Why couldn't I just be swinging my staff and have it produce the Deadly Reach effects? Am I at least getting the added stats of the staff to the damage being done by Deadly Reach? I guess that's all that matters in the end, but it seems like it would've been cool to be swinging my staff and having those awesome shockwaves produced by it.
I think the problem is what the blue post mentioned in that thread, when you think of monk you think fist/staff but realistically they'd need to add in animations for all the other weapons too.
Also if you think a thread has been discussed recently just report it and a link to the other thread and it will be merged. Don't lecture the poster in the thread.
