Anyone else kinda notice this? I mean just from reading the changes to nats + shadow's mantle I instantly feel it's still underwhelming compared to Marauders and neither are really interesting or game-changing effects... Rain of vengeance is now reduced by 2 seconds/kill instead of 1, who cares? Rain sucks it's no earthquake and we can now use shadow power all the time, an entire set bonus for 30% MS, 15% DR or a bit of LPH? What's the point in even changing them, if there just going go from one fairly useless bonus to another? After seeing how they re-did the monk sets previously I was quite excited to see what they would do with these sets and I must say while i've not tried them and ofcourse they are subject to change it's just PTR they just seem like fairly useless changes atm.
Shadow power was buffed to 35% dmg reduc, so it's basicly a "viable" way of making a DH very tanky - you can run shadow (gloves, legs, chest/boots) and nats (ring, helm, legs/boots, or the slayer wep which always seem to roll incredibly well - 2.7-2.8k dps instead of the ring) at the same time and basicly be tanky as fuck with shadowpower while keeping your rain up all the time.
Not to mention strafe was buffed heavily which combined with shadow power LoH means you am probably face tank anything, WHILE freeing up a slot that used to be for smoke screen for RoV plus Vengeance means DPS for days! I'm excited to try it out!
Well, shadow power with 35% dmg reduction is quite a lot, unfortunately we get the 2 pieces bonus which is still something not that huge. Anyway you having that means you can skip Awareness since its new effect works the same.
Many new builds open up, a permanent 35% dmg reduction is more than any melee in game, that means we can even go for a melee FoK build couple with the new chakram Legendary.
