I also run the ca/ms. You dont actually cast those skills, your sentries do. If you have a full tank vs whites you can ms, if elites you can cluster. But thats gravey, your not really going to be casting them very often unless your using calamity and starting with a multishot to mark them.
His generator is frost arrow, he gets 4 hate everytime he fires using that bow.
"Ok, but all of them are used for their entire duration? That's the point."
Im also using custom engineering, The key is spacing them til you hit a big pack then drag them back into your sentry pile.

This sounds amazing. Can't wait to get 6 piece only have 2 piece and still need rrog.

WOW...I can finally use my Kridershot. Yesterday, making some tests I tried out playing a lightning build and T5 was as easy as it get with Krider and Marauders. and my build is far from optimal yet, I only got a SoJ for lightning and that was it. The cloak is not the best one for this build too. My profile show the gear and the build I tried yesterday and T5 was a breeze, The defensive build I'm using was for T6 and worked like a charm. Has anyone tested out more Marauder's builds? For the ones that do not know, the sentry internal CD is now unique for each hatred expender and they are independent, so when you have at least 2 hatred expenders, your sentry will only shoot your hatred expender. Here are the numbers:
Was your kridershot from Kadala or Drop? Can you post the spec you found best for T5? Can you further explain CA/MS build..I don't see how you can manage these two hatred spenders, what is your hatred generator for this?
I got it from drop, I never bought weapons from Kadala, is just too expensive. In a CA;MS build I just use CA since its stunning effects procs my haunt of vaxo (the sentries never procs your legendaries effect). In my build, since I'm using a Kridershot, I use elemental arrow as hatred generator. You can use my build if you want to go full lightning, but the best build I guess is the physical version. I like this one the best:
The fire version of it its exactly the same, just change EA and CA runes. These are Kridershot builds, you can change elemental arrow for any other hatred generator if you dont have one.
I use the ballista. 2h xbows seem to work best with this build, ill use calamity if its t3 or lower. People get confused with wep damage vs the dps shown on weps. You want the highest wep damage possible because against hard elites, your going to be running around, not attacking, letting pets and traps kill them. Im now using hot pursuit so i can run more, pets and sentrys proc the 20% movement.
- isn't letting just turrets/pets do the job simply slower than unloading your hatred directly? You can still move, and a "hit and run" tactic works well. Agree that turrets/pets will still do damage while you run around. If you assume a Kridershot, you will still stop to cast EA.
- the problem between fire/physical: mostly is due to the fact that Loaded for bear is fire, but doesn't benefit from Ballistic; on the other side Shooting Stars benefits from Ballistic but the trret rune is flagged as fire. Anyway, iirc the spenders shot by turrets will benefit from the elemental % bonus depending on their rune and not from the turret one; hence, assuming again Kridershot, your %phys damage will affect EA, CA and pets damage. Plus Ballistic.
Again, i don't have the gear to test the thing, so these are just speculations.

I forgot to tell that in the fire build, it may be better to remove ballistics. But yeah, not everything will benefits from your elemental. You can use them so there is a rotation of fire that do more damage than the basic turret bolt. About spending your whole hatred, kinda. While I approach now (and thats why CD reduction is soo good) its that your sentries will do a lot of damage and will not spend your hatred anymore, but I don't stop casting my CA. I still spend most of my hatred and I keep something just to cast the next sentry, I do not keep running and waiting all my pets do the job. Lightning is amazing for full permastun and haunt of vaxo. As usual, always try to have at least a EA ou Chakran when using 6pt bonus...because this 2 will always change your turret bolt. There is a lot of testing going on and there are a lot of ppl saying that in a reduction CD build, Tasker and Theo is better that cindercoat in a sentry build. I still need to find a taske and theo ....
Nice build definetively going to try it out, still waiting for a Krider but I got 5 pieces Marauder yesterday in 4h playtime including Marauder chest from Kadala(<3 the event buff)

I see your points. Now i definitely have to get the Marauder pieces needed (have a crap KS but useful tro try the build, and also a magefist/cindercloth/reapers to test the fire build).
Can anyone clarify how sentries work : do they benefit from your chc and chd ?
Im wondering what is the best elemental spec to use this build :
Fire spec with magefists or physical with T&T ? What benefits from T&T effect ? Does it worth it knowing that you loose 20% elemental damage due to magefist removal ?
Does ballistics worth it ? I noticed that some rockets don't actually hit any target...
Which weapon is the best ? I didn't loot any Kridershot, i have to choose between Nat xbow or 2h with archery bonus (+50% crit dmg).
1) yes, turrets benefit from CC and CHD, i don't know about AS.
2) good question - it's what we're rtying to figure out; atm everyone claims that they have the best build
3) T&T work with normal turrets; i have to test if they work with the set bonus. They aren't superior of magefists for a fire build, but in that case i think also cindercloth > magefists.
4) i roll a Ballistic spec - it's worth it if you run CA/physical build. Some missiles don't hit anything because usually you are too far from enemies or they are cosmetic (only sometimes).
5) kridershot looks the best one because you get your turrets shot 2 spenders instead of only one. In you don't have any, a 2h is recommended.

This is a worst case scenario. If you can stand there and shoot thats the first choice but with angels, ararchs and other annoying mobs you have to keep moving. Combined with the bugged ground effects you cant stand still in some circumstances.
Got some bad news for your diego, there is a bug with 3spenders, it makes your sentrys attk at 1.0aps. The only combination that doesnt cause the bug is ms+ca.
In the absence of a KS, why is it recommended a 2h? Is it because of the sentry quiver? Is it because the timer for the 6pc sentries is static and unaffected by weapon speed?
Sentry quiver is definitely a plus but not mandatory. The fact is that with 6 pieces Turrets have a fixed AS for spenders so a 2h xbow will net the bigger hits. Only exception is KS because it lets you equip both EA and CA at the same time.
This glitch is really bad news...thats why I was always under the impression the when I add a third spender thing just got out of control. Thanks for the information, will play with multishot + CA and no EA (so no krider) for more testing.
TrueCold, I was about to link that thread when catching up on this one.
This is the gist of what they're seeing in early testing:
If you use 3 hatred spenders on your sentry, your sentries will no longer benefit from ias. Thats why specs with kindershot using this could become counterproductive
See the bottom of post #1 http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/12674389831#1
If you want to use multiple hatred spenders w/o having ias wasted on your gear, the only combination that exists is multishot+cluster arrow. Every other possible combination with 2 or more hatred spenders will suffer from this 'glitch'.
This is especially crucial if you think about running Tasker & Theo with Kridershot bow. Probably not a good idea considering the physical EA choice is weak compared to running MS+CA in said physical setup. I've been having good success using Manticore for this build. For instance, I ran Hell Rift 2 clear in my initial test run for T+T physical. The cursed chest spawned those crazy mallet lords (Torment 6). I preplaced 3 sentries, opened chest, ran a ways to get harrington's buff, wolf cd once engaged just offscreen. They died before I could catch a glimpse of all 3. /giggle
My opinion atm is you can't replace spitfire sentry by impaling bolt, so better run with fire dmg and T&T.
If we cannot make use of Magefists and/or T&T prove to be better, You can easily stay with Ballistic and physical damage - Ballistic will still pump the misssils of Spitfire turret, and the spenders shot will get the bonus form their element, not the one of the turrets.
I was playing around yesterday with flaming skull ( fearing one) I do not have a fire build mostly physical but aint fire.
Isnt flaming skull + kridershot a good combo cause you actually cause them to fear away ?
I'm not a huge fan of flaming skulls. While its fear is not as bad as a monk with the old Echoing Fury, fear is bad news for melee classes, so flaming skull would only work if you are playing alone.
yesterday i could get every single piece of mara set, and im absolutely in love with it... i can farm torment6 effieciently. i need krider and the quiver to have 5 sentries tho.
Not really, a couple weeks ago I had a day off and found 2 marauder helms, 2 pants and the gloves in an afternoon, obvs without the anniversary buff. Pants dropped within a few minutes of each other. The next evening I found the chest piece, total playtime was about the same - about 4 or 5 hours. RNG is RNG and all that, natch.

Paragon 255 and only one piece...
Oh well.
-DH stuck in CA
"5 pieces in 4h ... hmm this is highly unlikely"
