Just got marauders pants which rolled really poorly, but I need them to complete the 6-piece. The stats are:
460 Dex, 450 Vita, 11% Grenade damage, 1 socket - they also have phys res as a secondary stat so i can't roll all res.
I don't use grenades so i'm thinking i will benefit more from rolling that into armor, instead of rerolling the socket for 2 sockets because otherwise the grenade stat is just a pure waste. Any help?
Yeah I think that you should reroll grenade damage as it indeed has no use with 6pc mara. I had the same situation w mara chest because I had to reroll some useless stat and leave 2 sockets instead of rolling 3.
I've very recently switched to DH, and while I've been very lucky with Marauder drops (got all pieces), my gear is still lacking in many areas. I've got a few questions regarding my gear :
- how good/bad is my Buriza? (generally speaking, and specifically for a Marauder build)
- my Dead Man's feels pretty good, better than the lower-rolled 9th Cirri I've got, and I don't have a Bombardier's yet. Is it worth looking for the Bombardier's?
- Any suggestions for my 2nd ring and belt?
So I just got 2 pieces of marauders and bombadiers rucksack. What's the next step? I was thinking using TaT gloves/magefist instead of my marauder ones, and then obviously use marauders chestpiece instead of my cindercoat. Also need to replace my belt :/
If you already have TnT you can go for it but then you should change your bracers and soj to physical (and find amulet with ele dmg). Your belt is not that bad but harrington would be better.

Generally speaking buriza is good for 6p mara but the one you have is lets say mediocre. You want something with 2,5k + dps (doesn't matter if it's buriza or some other 2h xbow). Bombardier's rucksack is way better because it lets you drop custom engineering for something else i.e. ambush, awarness or archery. As to your belt you should look for harrington but some withing hour, or hellcat waistguard would also be ok. When it comes to your 2nd ring there are not many other choices than SoJ or Unity (x2).

Thanks for the input. Since this is my first dex-based char, I don't have any of those pieces yet with dex, though I might try an int-based Harrington.
I'll also keep pestering Kadala for that Bombardier. How much CDR would you recommend for a 4-sentry build?
Hi guys, would love some input on how to improve my dh. Been farming for an RRoG for a while now but so far it has eluded me, and don't even start on the Cindercoat, was so happy when it dropped for my dh...it's still the best I have in that slot atm.
I have had 6 piece Mara in stash for sometime, but have been running 4 piece with Taskers and no RoRG as the one I have is horrible.
Last nigfht I decided to TRY the sentry set up and put on 5 pieces, lost damage pputting the head piece on, changed out SoJ for RoRG and shifted from vault/trail ( I still have smokscreen/healing) to sentry and from arrchery to the extra sentry passive(?). I don't have the off hand that enables it.
So I dropped a massive amount of damage. base dps was over 1 mill, down to 870k before all the bonuses etc.
Used to running pets and moving alot attacking AND staying alive, and with his build ( far from perfect but usable) I went from running T-3 easily with pets to walking through T-4 easily and only worrying about keeping myself out of harms way. It WAS easier but seemed...slow? Maybe calm is a better word. At any rate, the three sentry's are quite a boost to firepower but I'm not sure this is the way I wanan play. I don't have any CDR and that might help a bit, just seemed slow. My spenders are just double chakrams and cluster/physical. Damage seemed pretty good even with the drop in DPS. I guiess the biggest thing is simply the change in strategy?
Hello! I've been 70 for a week or so, and I was wondering wheter you could help me to become better. I do bounties on t3 and rifts on t2 mainly, I know that my gear has bad rolls and gems, but except for that, what items should I strive for first? Especially, what to farm from Kadala, and is it worth it to farm A1 for another RoRG? Thanks!
Try to gamble mara boots and replace chest with cindercoat or gloves with magefists. Dump that crimson belt for some good harrington or witching hour. Replace custom engineering with something else once you find bombardier's rucksack. You could also try a build without generator. Check my armory to get an idea http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Dantrag-2747/hero/2912442

I dont't understand why would you use chakrams with fire rune as a physical dh. I suggest you to replace it with multishot /full broadside as it has twice the damage (not counting elemental dmg buff) and massive area coverage.

I guess the only reason I still have double chakrams is laziness combines with great area coverage? The damage has always been adequate despite the low numbers indicated in the description. Also Twin Chakrams is 10 hatred, Multishot is 25? Have never used multishot so I will be giving it a look. Thanks for the suggestion.
BTW, with this same build I've actually been doing T5 bounties and rifts solo with little to no problems. The sentry build simply jumps up level cpability crazily. I do need to get my resists up, they are horribly low.

As 6p mara dh you personally don't deal most of the damage anyway (your sentries do) so the cost of chakrams doesn't really matter. Chakrams deal 220% x2 and multishot deals like 600%+ so for me it's simple choice.
Provocator - I looked at your armory and it seemed intresting. I'm currently specced fire on my DH but I'm thinking into going physical instead. Is the TnT needed then? I'm trying to get TnT but it's so damn hard. Haven't got a single pair since RoS was released. As of now I need better Marauders with some vit/armory instead of the crappy rolls I got and also a Marauders chestpiece since I'm using a bad Cindercoat at the moment.
Yes I'm afraid it's mandatory. I suggest you to stay fire until you find a pair.

Thanks! Now I got few items http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Deviance-2837/hero/44711742 you recommended, not the best rolls but they will do for now. Can't dorp the belt though.. How would a build without generator work? What do you do when you don't have any hatred?
I run around gathering health globes. Without generator I have addidtional slot for marked for death /contangion.
Crit chance and crit damage are low. Socket in bow is desperately needed. However, even with the emerald you need crit chance to take advantage of it.
The cloak, unless you are truly in love with it, I'd concentrate more on a new one. However three sockets would boost dex considerably.
Belt and off hand have Fan of knives bonuses and you aren't using it, recommend rerolling those into something useful, there again, the offhand could be upgraded. Same with shoulders and Rain of Vengeance.(good opportunity to roll crit chance maybe?)
You have two +phys and one +fire, definately concentrate on those skills for the moment, you may want to decide on one down the road.
I'd say right outta the box, try to optimize what you have WITHOUT spend a lot on resources at the enchanter. Most of your stuff yuo WILL replace.
That said, concentrate on crit chance and then crit damage, Crit chance will probably be your quickest way to increase damage.1% crit chance increase is going to give you roughly 3900 damage, and 100 dex will give you 6000 damage. I'd try to get your dex into the 8k range minimally, and it will happen, don't kill yourself getting there.Crit damage will only net you a littlle over 500 per 1% because your crit chance is so low at the moment.
Biggest thing is get some seat time, try a few rerolls on your gear without breaking your bank, and keep inmind that most of it will get replaced, so don't fall in love with it. The Marauders shoulders and Nats boots are pretty good pieces. The bow with a good emerald will last you a while.
My first instinct is reroll the regen but I hesitate because your offhand regen is kinda low?
If you have the ability to gamble for an offhand, you might wanna go there first, secure something, even another yellow that has good regen and then reroll bow for socket? Nothing worse than a starving DH.
ALSO, if you're the crafting type, you can try reapers wraps and then reroll bow, as regen on offhand is not as critical?
IAS on bow is a good stat, not as great as crit chance, or maybe crit damage (especially if you go 2hd x bow) but it's desireable. 1% Attack Speed will give you 2,400ish dps. So right now its better than CHD as well.
Been following a lot of the good advice and now seem a little stuck. Currently, I have been running T3 with little difficulty but have been trying to move up to t4. Kalada loves to give me complete crap especially when it comes to boots, so many thousand shards on boots. In the mean time should I be looking to run something other than sentries bc I can't find a better bow then the Calamity I currently have? Thank you!
I hate to say it but you're held back probably mostly by gear. You have good stuff, just not more of the sets OR a RoRG.Also a SoJ would help with elites/packs in rifts. I went from 4 piece marauders to 6 piece with weak RoRG and jumped from T3 to T5 and dropped140k base DPS while still doing it.Also, and I just noticed, Your paragon's a bit lower than mine, this might affect things as well(?)
Minimally a 4 piece Marauders would give you all pet passives plus their actives ARE nice. The 5piece/RoRG or 6 piece that gives sentry's your spenders is huge.
I would look at the passive that grants extra sentry's perhaps? More firepower right away. Also, perhaps a strong 2hd xbow for stronger damage from the sentries? Cluster will benefit more for burst damage with one as well.
Although your Armors at 5k, mines maybe 7k? Try it, see if it works? Not sure if site is accurate on all armor bonuses. No mines less than yours, so give it a go.
Thank you. Yeah, I have had terrible luck with drops. It seems like I keep getting the Mara shoulders and necklaces over and over again. I have apus spitter so I will try to reroll for a socket on that. So it seems like I should just keep farming Act 1 bounties for RoRG. Do you recommend farming it on a lower level to burn through it faster or just keeping doing it at T3? Thank you for your response!
I'm not really sure on the Act 1 thing. To me, I would farm it for as much benefit as possible.
IF you need better gear as well as the ring, I'd do minimally T1 for access to all drops. If you can run T3 relatively quickly, I'd do that. IF you're just desperate for the ring and to hell with eveything else, then split farm act 1 on normal with others, hard at it.
We did establish in another thread though that T2 up increases chance for everything, including the RoRG to drop from caches. Now, whether it's a significant increase is another debate. I did have 2 legs drop from an Act1 cache last night in T5, but neither was a RoRG...
I will say this, until it does drop, it never feels faster, no matter what level you're doing...no drop is no drop. But, a crap RoRG IS better than no RoRg almost all the time.
It's still one of the things I need to better on my own gear.
(don't know how to post the link between the two gear)
The season is underway. Don't know if I'll make it through.
Akarat save me !
IMO Cape of the Dark Night legendary affix is way better.
I've very recently switched to DH, and while I've been very lucky with Marauder drops (got all pieces), my gear is still lacking in many areas. I've got a few questions regarding my gear :

- my Dead Man's feels pretty good, better than the lower-rolled 9th Cirri I've got, and I don't have a Bombardier's yet. Is it worth looking for the Bombardier's?
- Any suggestions for my 2nd ring and belt?
