This build gives a good idea of what it could look like:
-->Evasive smoke<--
Using evasive fire did'nt seemed to be really easy to get yourself safe for people playing the beta. You can get yourself backed up against a wall. The idea would be to use Evasive fire until you get your back pushed against the wall, cast smoke screen and reposition yourself so that you can use evasive fire again but in the direction you choose. Just wan't to know if you think this might work well because it seems quite interesting to use.
As I am bored at the moment I will thoroughly break down your built (as you have no repsonses):
First of all - I assume this is a PvE build since you've got rapid fire and bola shot.
1. Evasive Fire is really bad in PvE. Let's just face it: It's counterproductive to jump backwards everytime an enemy approaches. It takes time to jump back and it takes time to reposition yourself once the fight is over to proceed in the dungeon. It is much better to choose a spell which simply prevents monsters from approaching such as Entangling Shot.
2. You will have extreme amounts of discipline with your build. What are you to do with all of it? Go invisible all the time? That's alright. It's, however, not effective. Discipline in PvE will be much better spent on increasing attack speed, putting down turrets, slowing enemies, marking them etc.
3. You lack AoE. Bola shot has really shity AoE (anyone who tried or seen demon hunter in beta knows that). You are lucky if Bola Shot hits more than two mobs. Fan of Knives has 10 seconds cooldown.
We all know Diablo is all about AoE. There is a reason the vast majority of the spells are AoE. I find it amusing you chose to not pick a single one of them.
4. Sharpshooter is anything but a PvE talent in my eyes. You will bascily crit your first hit once you leave town and from there on have an extra 3% chance to crit every second, which blows. That's like having 2% extra chance to land a critical strike on a total (as you will fire ~1,4 arrows a second).
Sharpshooter is neat if you're going to PvP and open up with Impale or stall time etc. It's not good when you want to rush through monsters and slay them as fast as possible.
5. Perfectionist and Preperation are not really needed. You will have enough discipline by using Bola Shots from time to time if you're only discipline spender is Smoke Screen. If you are to keep preperation, make sure to switch out the rune. 70% life gain/120s is really bad. Why waste a whole rune on something a simple potion or health globe will do for you?
I don't think you understand sharp shooter .... it curves critical hit chances so that you never go longer than X amount of time without Critical Hitting. Its a safety net for crit builds. The following Table is based on a 5% base crit chance and a 1 attack per second attack rate. This drastically changes based on attack speed.
My AOE is Rapid fire runed with 55% increased chance to pierce which, with all that hatred generation, will be most likely used very often. ?0 hatred generated every time i use smoke screen and rapid fire is an inexpensive way to get yourself out of trouble when you are getting into meele range. Bola shots main purpose is for regenerating discipline and in the case i don't have problem with life i would probably change preparation for shadow power.

Why worry about people getting on top of you with Smoke Screen? The build looks solid enough to survive, not shine or really stand out. The logic you used on Rapid Fire is kinda misplaced in this situation regarding getting into melee range as you state. You have ways to get out of melee other than Rapid Fire that are much better than you give them credit for. Also Evasive Fire can push you out of Smoke Screen. Something you don't want to happen all too often.
I have to agree with Sumsarr about the Prep rune though. The health generated is not that stellar.
I would say overall the build has too many odd choices and seems very scattered. The idea of using Smoke Screen to generate hatred as well as give yourself breathing room, huh pun, is nice but what you used to support a build of this type clashes way too easily. It's like you are trying to stay far away from the enemies but than take moves that rely on you being close, like FoK.
Take a look at that build. Because the build mechanics you are trying to use lead themselves so heavily to being at range FoK really should be dropped for something better. Changed the rune on Prep to something more reasonable. Bola shot was something that I feel really did not fit. If you get forced into moving because enemies are getting too close Entangling Shot right before using an Evasive Shot is an extremely powerful way to keep at range (not to mention if you are cornered you can use Entangling to get away quite fast.) Brooding is on there too only because do you really need the reduced cost when you already have Prep? That and Smoke Screen gives you a 2 second head start on getting Brooding activated.

First, i meant smoke screen and evasive fire, sorry for the mistake. You get backed up against the wall, you go trough ennemies with smoke screen, reappear on the side you want, cast fan of knives and then rapid fire to get away. Smoke screen could be runed with crimson for a nice damage output. Once you are out of meele range, you dump hatred with rapid fire and throw bola once in a while to gain discipline. With fan of knife used the way it is and runed for longer range, i don't think entangling shot would be needed and the point you rased about FOK being a close range spell looses it's purpose.
Is it general consensus that an all out rocket build wont be very good? I see that last link has rockets buffed without even using runes that implement them.. I cant get a good read on how useful rockets will be
