I started Diablo 1 with the Paladin
I started Diablo 2 with the Barbarian
I will be starting Diablo III with the Demon Hunter, and while I am a guy, I'll be starting with the Female, she just looks sweet. I'm sure my thinking this mostly because of the Trailer, but thats enough for me.
I've played and beaten with every character in all the games and expansion packs to date and while some are easier then others. Harder or not is yet to be seen, I think this one is just going to be a blast.
I think the response to the beta has been overwhelmingly positive, and hearing people say things like it's hard to go back to d2 after playing d3 makes me feel even more excited. D2 is always going to be very close to my heart since I essentially grew up with it, but it's going to be amazing to see where the series goes and how it develops.
As for a first class, I don't think I've decided. I started D2 again after the reset and I'm focusing all of my efforts on creating a BvC Barb. It'll be the first time I'm really focusing on a Barb, so depending on how that goes I might want to make a Barb. For a while I was all about the Monk, and I'm still definitely thinking about the Monk. And the Witch Doctor is in the back of my mind, creeping. I guess I'll have to decide fairly soon.
I'm definitely going to playing the Demon Hunter as my first class, most likely going to go with some kind of super attack-speed build (and the Ferret Companion skill was the dealbreaker xD).
My biggest issue, will I play it with my bro (we are going to be playing 2 characters together) or will it be my solo class.
In Diablo 1 I was the sorcerer first. In Diablo 2 I was the sorceress first. Ironically, I'm choosing the monk to play first in Diablo 3 which is a melee character. I will defiently play all the classes but the monk just seems to be a great class & I haven't even played D3 yet.
Diablo 1: Sorceror was my love. Mana Shield just had an awesome sound when cast. Then warrior, of course.
Diablo 2: Hammerdin like everyone else... But my true love was my Trap/Kick hybrid Assassin. I wasn't getting every little synergy from my traps, but I didn't care. I could kill lightning immunes and be block capped.
Back to the plot: Playing Demon Hunter with friends. Need a character for downtime? Female Demon Hunter.

The Barb is fun because I have always liked the get in your face ability of him, but, I personally love the look and abilities of the DH.

Whoops, sorry, you're right
I actually had to pull up the game as I haven't played it in years.
It was the Warrior, sorry
