Being relatively new to Diablo this may be a silly question but can anyone tell me if and how arrows may be used in D3. I thought about this when watching a video of the DH using duel crossbows and wasn't sure how arrows will work in the game, like is there an inventory slot specifically for them, will they be limited/unlimited etc.
Also does anyone know if we can aim exactly where traps land or do they just get thrown in the direction of a mob (or for PVP opponent). I ask because it seems like a cool strategy for PVP would be to trap the health globe spawn sites.
crossbows dont use arrows, they use bolts
and most likely u will have inf amount (though that might be one of demonhunter's resource system) we will see in couple weeks when they finaly tell us more about demonhunter.
litle known about traps too at this moment, surely it would be best to place traps in high traffic areas... litle strategic advantage, though there are lots of cc breaks in pvp.
I would be surprised if there was any ammo in Diablo III. It was simply a nuisance in Diablo II. It wasn't interesting, it never changed (no higher quality ammo), and it was ridiculously easy to get which just made it feel like a hassle that you had to manage it at all.
Hunters in WoW had their ammo removed (finally). That should tell you Blizzard's stance towards ammo.

This. At least, I certainly hope so. Sure, ammunition dropped off every other mob in D2, but it wasn't doing anyone any favors, and was just another thing to keep track of. Being the odd duck I am, I could be running around with two extra quivers and feel the need to buy more every time I hit town.
I don't feel exclusion of ammo is lazy, but more of a way to allow yourself to worry about your combos, or the world around you. With the inventory so expanded and the ability to break items down it looks more like downtime shouldn't be high. Running out of bolts? Sounds like downtime.
Not that I've seen in any of the videos. So I'm going to guess that they do not. Maybe with some arrow spells there might be a death animation that involves an arrow sticking out or something, but beyond that, no.
With the new Impale ability, the knife gets stuck in the monster's head and stays there for a few seconds. I haven't noticed anything with arrows, but they could be harder to see.

Thanks all.
