Disclaimer - For the past month I have tried different gear sets/builds/and rerolled gear countless times and never really stuck with one to write up anything about. This one I am pretty happy with and know it's not for everyone's gear and play style. I don't feel it's completely the best or dominant build, but something I settled to enjoy.
-Also, do not recommend this for Crusaders who have recently hit 70 and/or to those that do not have decent Set patterns or 6p Akkhan. Once again, 6p Akkhan glues this build together by providing A. wrath generation without a Primary (Smite/Punish/Justice/Slash) and B. CDR with Rally for quicker reload of offensive/defensive CDs.
Demonstrations: (various short clips on different torments and elite type/mobs) [Scroll down for bigger clear samples and rifts!]

T4 - Bombardment baseline critical number and its potentials to do higher for those who would like to build up on this by stacking Physical DMG.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clNJsly2R68
T6 - Bounty : How to farm ~2 bil-3bil (depending on computer) XP/~5mil gold per hour as a Crusader.
4, 6, 15, 20 sec elite kills
Apologies for the low resolution and MS/FPS lag. All recordings were done on from work Macbook Pro I know, I know sorry!
Let's get down to the basics!
Step 1: Spec
Bombardment : Impactful Bombardment This is your nuke spell and with Mortal Drama, you'll be able to dump down an additional meteor. Use/line this up with Judgment and Law of Valor, read below.
Iron Skin : Steel Skin or Law of Valor : Critical Iron Skin is purely for survival and to smooth out the damage from heavy hitting whites or elites in T6. If you have access to Unity OR doing lower torments you can ignore this skill and replace it with Law of Valor : Critical. Use Law of Valor before your Bombardment meteors land on your painted (Judged) targets.
Provoke : Hit Me or Charged Up Provoke's main purpose as a 2H Blessed Shield build is a wrath generator. Hit Me or Charged Up depending on whether you need the defensive boost or offensive boost.
Akarat's Champion : Rally This is for CDR and RCR.
Judgment : Resolved Judgment is great for CC and for group play. It is also very important as a non-critical Bombardment would make your life a lil' less easier. Also a way to not have to rely too much on CC and works great wonders with Ess of Johan if you have it on yourself or the follower.
Blessed Shield : Shattering Throw Your main offensive ability. Remember that this is without a Foote and you can't just hold this down. Make sure you squeeze every ounce of each bounces.
-
Step 2: Gear goals - Holy elemental dmg modifier. You want this and the most you can get while maintaining the important set pieces mentioned in the Disclaimer. Although Bombardment does do a chunk of damage, it's Blessed Shields that will autopilot you through content. Just think of Bombardment as a button you use for reinforcement, esp when you need something dead, quick.
- Blessed Shield dmg modifier. Try to get this on your shield and boots and even helm if you can afford it.
Defensive stats from must to less important :
All resist :
You want to have at least 4 slots of your gear with all resist. For example, I personally roll with (Chest/Shoulder/Shield/Belt).
CDR :
Try to get this on your gloves/shoulder/Wep or Shield/Rings/Amulet without gimping too much Holy Dmg or CHD.
- dmg reduction :
If your goal is to do T6 efficiently you want your gear rolled well, even down to 2ndaries. You want -7% from melee attacks on your crafted gear and + Health Globe to armor pieces with All Resist AND + Physical Resist for those without All Resist.
Skill (Blessed Shield/Bombardment DMG Modifiers) :
Stack this after those above criteria are met. Remember, Bombardment can only be stacked on Shoulder/Shield/Chest and Blessed Shield on Helm/Boots/Shield. How you do this is up to YOU AFTER you meet the above defensive requirements.
-
Step 3: How to play it
Although the videos demonstrate it. The way you go about with this RANGED spec is that when you see an elite pack from the corner of your screen you want to open with :
Judgment, snaring them in place and guaranteeing 6 seconds of 100% crits.
Then you will AC: Rally and launch Bombardment and will hit Law of Valor before it lands and spray Blessed Shield.
Provoke for wrath or hold it until AC: Rally is down then Provoke during the 2-10 seconds you are waiting for AC: Rally to come back up.
Q: Why Mortal Drama?
A: Preference.
Fun burst. Maybe a BoP or FotF didn't drop for you. Not as well represented, but with definite potential.
Q: What's the difference between Foote and this?
A: Lots!
-Foote is a 1 hander and you will attack quick but with smaller bursts. Also the greatest perk was the removal of wrath cost, also introducing a brain-less-boring spam spec.
-The 1 hander play steered the player away from using a big weapon damage burst since 1 handers get less DPS on them compared to 2 handers. Therefore, choosing all buffs to one ability, Blessed Shield, which in my opinion can be boring from time to time.
What changes with the 6p Akkhan is that you have 95%, or higher/lower depending on your needs on AC:Rally, which gives near-permanent 25% ASI on top of what you had. Foote T6 users stacked ASI along with other stats, but since 6p Akkhan stack CDR instead of ASI, we make up for the 2H and loss of being able to enchant ASI by having near permanent AC:Rally.
What else?
Our single target is much more improved against Foote due to Rally resetting our CDs and us having a higher uptime on Provoke Hit Me/Charged Up for bigger burst or Law of Valor: Critical for aforementioned burst. Also, the big daddy, Bombardment.
Q: Why not BoP or Fell? Why Mortal Drama?
A: Well Fell is a spender if you choose Fires of Heaven rune and you have a spender, also currently bugged with AC: Rally.
BoP is more melee oriented and I found it more clunky to drop in range to Condemn when I can kill it just as fast while tossing the shield. Why Bombardment? As soon as you see a group of elite you snare/paint them with Judgment as one would with Foote. But, the beauty here is that right after the Judgment you launch your nukes. You have 6 seconds to land 100% critical ~550% CHD (with Law) Bombardment x2, which will finish the job as you spray your shields before they land. Your entire goal is to meet an elite, kill it asap, get out. You don't really want to sit next to the elite and spam Condemns after Condemns no matter how fast you regain the spell through AC: Rally. Why? Just higher risk of death, which is no big deal, but less efficient when you do die.
-
Explain in detail how to go higher in torments while maintaining efficiency.
Personally, since progression of any character depends on the person's preference, I would improve myself by : (all highly rolled)
Helm - Str/Vit/Blessed Shield or Str/Vit/Crit 2ndary : Reduce CC effect/Phy Resist; CDR Gem
Shoulder - Str/Vit/CDR/AR 2ndary : Health Globe/Pick Up Radius
Chest - Str/Vit/15% Bomb/3 Str Gem 2ndary : 7% melee reduction and Health Globe
Pants - Str/Vit/AR/2 Str Gem 2ndary : No Health Globe can be rolled so Pick Up Radius and Monster XP
Belt - Str/Vit/15% Life/AR 2ndary : Life After Kill and Pick Up Radius
Boots - Str/Vit/15% Blessed Shield 2ndary : Phy Resist, Health Globe
Gloves - Str/CDR/CC/CHD 2ndary : Phy Resist
Neck - Holy/Str/CC or CDR/CHD 2ndary : 7% melee reduction and Reduce CC effect
Rings - SoJ (Holy/Str/CHD or CDR) RoRG (Str/CDR/CC/CHD)
Wep - Holy DMG/CDR/Str/CHD Gem 2ndary : Max wrath or Life After Kill
Shield - Str/Vit/AR/15% Blessed Shield or -AR +10% CC or 11% Block depending on shield's default block % 2ndary : Max wrath
End notes:
-Thanks for reading
-Thanks for the feedbacks
-Enjoy 30-43mil or higher Blessed Shield crits and 120-160+ mil Bombardments
This build is very similar to what I've been running. Currently I have 3 pieces of Akkhan (4 with RoRG) and can't wait to find 2 more to make the switch. Also been looking for the Helm of Rule plan in the meantime since those class set pieces are so damn rare. I have recently dropped Bombardment in favor of Laws of Valor since I'm built for all holy damage and the reduced resource cost rune of LoV gave me more shields to throw and do more damage than the Bombardment(s) would have. I have The Mortal Drama but even the double impacts weren't impressive yet.
Glad to see someone else being sensible and not just defaulting to boring ass Gyrfalcon's build.
I don't think HitMe is a good choice for damage. I would suggest charged up. Explanation of block cchance and blessed shield: here
I am VERY much aware of the difference. Provoke isn't used offensively in any of my streams or videos since I don't use cheese-Unity rings-aka permanent 50% shield wall. Provoke is just a defensive-recharge Wrath spell in this case.
This isn't a melee build. You don't want to charge in and Provoke Charged Up and crap out a Condemn like you in lower torment or like you see people do with cheese rings mentioned above, which I'm sure Blizzard will catch on to and nerf anyway.
In my T4, 330mil Bombardment video. All I hit were Judgment, Law, Bombardment and AFK'd just to show the viewers the Bombardment damage/potential. Doing Charged Up would've just spammed my screen with numbers that had nothing to do with what I wanted to record. In doing so I got 2 big cupcakes to drop.
I was referring to Provoke as a damage spell since you mentioned it this way. And to use Charged Up there is no need for melee range.(btw facetanking the elites is pretty much melee)
And to your glorious way to show us your numbers. They are impressive but actually normal. If you look carefully it's easy to spot the buff of your belt(+100% damage). So your crits are basically half this strong. If you want to support your guide with nice video material please show us a ful rift and not a 20 sec outtake of a good situation for you. No offense but this is just misleading people instead of helping them.
If you actually take the time to look at my post there's TWO links to TWO full rifts! Where I did it with no Harrington/Unity/or Aug set. Point of my clip is that you can consistently do that much damage if not even more.
This time around I used Aug set and Harrington just to prove a point. This isn't some good situation for me, since I can do this on every elite pack, but sure I can do ANOTHER (third) Rift video JUST for you since you have such hard time reading the OP. Lol
So quick to attack, yet so clueless. You can get off my case now
How are the videos misleading? I posted 2 short clips in the video and 2 in the other thread (which I gave 2 mentions about "hey shorts demonstrations here, hit these 2 links if you want detail on the build wasn't enough? I mean I don't have a PHD in forum posting like you do or am I here to post nice pictures of the build or an extensive guideline with 3 other pages reserved, that's for anybody else that want to pick off where I left off) with no damage modifiers including a full T6 rift without any cheese items like Unity or Aug set, the latter which people believe is near mandatory for T6. I didn't do ANY cherry-picking (as I died in it) like majority of T6 rift posts made on these forums do quite extensively (for example: the golems with 1/2 health that spawn copies, one of the easiest rift bosses and he had on Unity cause it wasn't already handed to him?) and the timestamps shows proves that I wasn't cherry-picking as it was recorded after recording an earlier T4 clear/edit/upload.
Bad info? I explained my choice for Provoke Hit Me vs Charged Up. I use it as a refuel/short burst period (which doesn't necessarily mean DMG numbers but DMG in terms of how LONG you can unload wrath abilities) as you can't just HOLD down Blessed Shield like you can with Foote. So my wording is quite clear and again, explained for the third time.
Also, like I already mentioned, used quite extensively as another defensive boost. Provoke, whatever rune you choose, is for the wrath gen in this particular build or any 6p Akkhan build with 0 wrath gen Primary ability. You can decide if you want the extra DMG or defensive rune. I didn't use Unity in any videos or streams so I chose defensive. I am quite aware how small Block Chance changes my DPS. Did I need to read your post to know this? No. I still read it and came to the same conclusion as before! I do have Helm of Rule/Lantern/Block Jekang (I have 5 total to test with), to play with for weeks. Your math and others math posted by other testers on different medias were just cherry on top!
It's not that I don't accept his feedback, it's just that I have provided a lot of information. With many torments and different perspectives. I think it's not accurate to post to post any T6 content with Unity as majority of people do here. And if I did so, by ALL means call me misleading.
Also, where are the cherry-picking accusations to those that have rifts containing 0 higher AI mobs from Act 5 or Rift Bosses that vary in difficulty quite a lot in T6? I posted my T6 rift right after my T4 demo, the first one I opened, and every mob was Act 5. I made 2 short clips a day after the rift which proved its viability to build on top of it, sorry I can't do another full rift at work for a second consecutive day (every single video around 10, which showcase Crusader's signature spells were all recorded and uploaded from work which is explained in detail in every video due to its quality and brief timespan), but I provided 2 clips of same results of me doing near identical damage in different blue to yellow elites and torments, showing that it's no fluke or not easily replicable.
What's the reaction? "Misleading." I mean most top tier Crusaders saw the video and knew exactly how replicable and viable it was but the naysayers are the ones who can do the math but can't do the walk or something?
Really though, posting an elite kill is not long enough for some people.
Posting a full rift can be argued not enough, since people can cherry pick out of the 10 they cleared with Act 1 or 2 mobs and a rift guardian that's near a shrine for the effect or aoe'd down or less AI.
What's next just post an entire 10 hour session of stream feedback? Where does it end.
Whole point of this thread is that Crusaders can do large numbers like Witch Doctors (maybe not in the billions or maybe I just haven't got around to theory crafting for a way to do that much yet). You don't need an entire rift video to make that point, *although I have as well.* If I was asked to make one using an Aug set and a Harrington in T6 this time around, I would agree and record another one (although with my limited play/resources at the time it's already a pain, but I'd do it anyway, explained next sentence). But calling it misleading is just a spit in the face for trying to go public a class I enjoy, which some people opinionated everyday as lackluster.
I played Foote/Jekeng before 2.0.4 and started making clips around 2.0.4 launch and after. So have others. Others have posted some very endgame worthy T6 BS guides and videos with upper 10 to mid 20 mil crits. Crits I didn't even know could go that high, back then, with just self buffs and no pylons. I figured my 13-15mils were decent and upper end 3 weeks ago. Now, I can easily see even a higher potential of it doing 40-50mil easily/repeatedly. Why does that matter? It's just good to know for the public who want to give this spec a shot. Like I stated, when I first gave this spec a try there were no insight or guides or videos. If I knew the potential of it being a monster spec and as powerful as it is now, I would've made the switch lot sooner and had a different gearing method/plateau to aim for then back then.
Arguing a point that keeping that Harrington buff up for every elite pack would've been a good feedback and a great argument, since it's really depended on map layout (some have higher points of corpse/armor stash/chest points as explained by Blizz and their behind the scene DvD). And telling me to post a full rift correctly utilizing or having a decent uptime or repeating elite kills this way throughout a rift would've been a valid statement and I would agree and work again to post another full video or a longer one (4-6 straight elites) just to say, "hey Harrington is great if used correctly and encourages some thinking rather than hold down BS."
Also giving some light to Mortal Drama play, since all I hear repeated lately is the overrated FotF or BoP. I'm sure there are Crusaders who have a Mortal Drama stashed and ignored, because they don't know the true potential of it. Well, I am here to show that it has some potential. You are right about one thing. That it didn't show full potential. The Bombardments could've hit for double that amount with proper gear and enchanting. If I motivated somebody to post a video of them doing a 250-300mil singular Bombardment crits x 2 with MD and physical dmg then I think I did what I came here for. I posted the very basic of this build and it has so much room for potential.
Anyways, my work here is done. It wasn't my plan or mission to convince everybody that this build is for everyone or it's the pure and BEST endgame. It's to shed light that players can build around a wep or a spell they love and showcase it in a way to show their class's potential. Some people may enjoy it and try it out and see decent results. In the last 24 hours the thread received 2400 views and I hope some took it away as "BoP or Foote or reroll" as not being true. That they can choose a wep they love or an ability they like and can one day muster a 10min or under T6 video that may showcase their class's other potential then just pure Condemn or Blessed Shield. Some may discard it as "misleading." That's fine, referring back to my first sentence of this paragraph. I will keep working on other builds and other videos just to share what I found were fun and interesting, 'cause I do like my class no matter how bad majority of the public think it is
Tdlr nothing I said or posted are incorrect. Only person that can't take a feedback or responded with bad info and misleading is you. The hypocritical and the attempt at troll post were cute though. Try being constructive for once. Thanks for the bump. If you're going to accuse or attack someone at least have a clue at the discussion or topic at hand. As I've said, I defended myself in every possible point, though I didn't need to.
Above was directed at Nosigntolifeorwhoever? Whose "Tdlr" post I guess got deleted?
Only thing that bothers me in the guide is that you state Fate of Fell is a spender. It's only a spender with one specific rune otherwise its just a CD skill. Beyond that issue its a fun build just wish Bombardment or Blessed shield could synergize elemental types.

-
Step 4 : Paragon Points
Core : All Str
Offense : CDR>CHD>ASI>CH
Defense : AR>Armor, Life>Life Regen
Utility : RCR>Area DMG>LpH>Gold
Q: Why Mortal Drama?
A: Preference.

Your entire goal is to meet an elite, kill it asap, get out. You don't really want to sit next to the elite and spam Condemns after Condemns no matter how fast you regain the spell through AC: Rally. Why? Just higher risk of death, which is no big deal, but less efficient when you do die.

Explain in detail how to go higher in torments while maintaining efficiency.
Personally, since progression of any character depends on the person's preference, I would improve myself by : (all highly rolled)
Helm - Str/Vit/Blessed Shield or Str/Vit/Crit 2ndary : Reduce CC effect/Phy Resist; CDR Gem
Shoulder - Str/Vit/CDR/AR 2ndary : Health Globe/Pick Up Radius
Chest - Str/Vit/15% Bomb/3 Str Gem 2ndary : 7% melee reduction and Health Globe
Pants - Str/Vit/AR/2 Str Gem 2ndary : No Health Globe can be rolled so Pick Up Radius and Monster XP
Belt - Str/Vit/15% Life/AR 2ndary : Life After Kill and Pick Up Radius
Boots - Str/Vit/15% Blessed Shield 2ndary : Phy Resist, Health Globe
Gloves - Str/CDR/CC/CHD 2ndary : Phy Resist
Neck - Holy/Str/CC or CDR/CHD 2ndary : 7% melee reduction and Reduce CC effect
Rings - SoJ (Holy/Str/CHD or CDR) RoRG (Str/CDR/CC/CHD)
Wep - Holy DMG/CDR/Str/CHD Gem 2ndary : Max wrath or Life After Kill
Shield - Str/Vit/AR/15% Blessed Shield or -AR +10% CC or 11% Block depending on shield's default block % 2ndary : Max wrath
End notes:
-Thanks for reading
-Thanks for the feedbacks
-Enjoy 30-43mil or higher Blessed Shield crits and 120-160+ mil Bombardments
Glad to see someone else being sensible and not just defaulting to boring ass Gyrfalcon's build.
I made a similar thread 2 days about the same build but with different sets/gear.
+ DMG to Skill:
Blessed Shield 15% from boots
+ Elemental DMG
52% (Neck/bracer/SOJ)
+ Elite DMG
42%
As you can see, potential is huge.

I will keep working on other builds and other videos just to share what I found were fun and interesting, 'cause I do like my class no matter how bad majority of the public think it is
Above was directed at Nosigntolifeorwhoever? Whose "Tdlr" post I guess got deleted?
-Rewrote the entire post in a guide format.
-Added a ~2 bil XP ~5 mil gold per hour video with some T6 elite bashing

4 sec, 6 sec, 20 sec, 15 sec elite kills. Latter ones I noobed and missed Bombardments or Wallereerererer.
