Hi I wanted to share the build I'm currently using to solo rifts on torment 4, but i've used it the entire since i hit 70. I currently have 1.1mil dmg unbuffed 1.2mil with laws of valor, and i have 64% fire dmg and 27% fire reduction cost for fire skills.
The passives i use are
1: Heavenly Strength 2: Wraithful 3: Finery 4: Blunt or Long arm of the law for higher torments.
The abilities i use and runes
1: Slash + Crush 2: Blessed hammers+Burning wraith 3: Falling Sword + Super heated 4: Laws of valor + critical or laws of hope + stop time for higher torments.
I use slash+crush due to its cleave+very high crit chance i find it to be better then any other wraith generator for this build.
Things about the build I choose to use blessed hammers+burning wraith over other wraith spenders because its so cheap and crits for 6mil per hit for me and i can spam it forever so i find it better then any other spender + it benefits a lot from the wraithful passive, and heals you for alot.
Falling sword with super heated is amazing the dot that is put on the ground once you have a lot of fire damage % ticks for millions, and the initial leap from it normally crits for 21mil+ for me.
I like steed charge with nightmare because all the dmg increase from my fire dmg makes it hit really hard + it breaks CC which is very useful and it has a fairly short cd.
I use impactful bombardment to nuke champ packs it normally crits them for me for 45mil+ It helps alot on higher torments and on lower torments it just burns champ packs.
You want to try to get maximus for this build it can really well and have up to 20% fire dmg on it + the proc is really crazy the fire chains on it crits for 9mil a second and with law of valor it crits for 11mil.
You can swap a few things around in the build as needed for how you gear is and the torment your running, This build also works amazing in rifts so please give it a shot if you enjoy fire builds.
Thanks for taking the time to read this I'm sure the guide is poorly done as its my first one . My battle tag is Sighcosis#1498 if you want to look at my gear etc.
Yeah i've tried provoke i can already spam hammers non stop pretty much tho i just prefer bombardment over akarat's personally I sometimes switch bombardment out actually for another defensive ability on t4, forgot to mention that but i prefer bombardment for t1-t2. I may give akarat's another try to i didn't really like it before
the armory is weird i actually got almost 8mil toughness in game and on higher torments i use law of hope with stop time and long arm of the law so normally i use that at the start of the pack and can usually almost kill them before it ends with the proc from maximus out.
Interesting build! I've got so many +%Lightning dmg items that this would take a while to try, but I'm definitely going to start looking out for the +%Fire dmg items just to try it out. +1!
http://i.imgur.com/zcfruwu.jpg is what I'm currently wearing and my toughness is a little lower then usual in that picture cause I'm trying a different helm.
I used it for a bit when i was undergeared, but with slash+ crush slash pretty much crits constantly for me because of my crit % on my stats then 20% extra crit chance on slash my hammers seem to crit a lot aswell because there are so many cause i can spam it due to cindercoat. id say once you get to 40% crit chance drop judgement for falling sword. If your currently using judgement in place of that or bomardment. You will see a bigger dmg increase if you start getting some crit and don't rely on judgement imo. Judgement is really good tho in the end it kinda comes down to preference id try them both and see what suits you :).
I run a fire build spec but I try to focus more of my damage to Blessed Hamemers tearing everything down and keeping the damage bonus abilites on the packs.
Here is my char sheet: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/snuglz-1352/hero/43475480
In game my sheet Damage is 630k and Toughness is 6.5mil. It doesnt seem high but with all the +fire dmg im critting each hammer for 5-7mil and chains is around 8-9mil. I have no issues in Torment 2 and Torment 3 and take anything down quickly. Elite packs do not typically live longer than around 10-20 seconds and bosses typically drop heavly each time I throw Judgement/ Shield Glare on em.
I went away from using defensive passives due to my reduction on elite packs and I have 9999 Healing per second and my heal globe healing is over 30k so I dont really have issues dying. I actually use the Shrine bracers with 18% fire dmg and critdmg/crit chance.
I really enjoy the fact there are many different ways to play as a fire crusader and most are effective.
I've been playing Crusader since launch, really love it. Yet I am still having troubles with T2 and I feel I should be doing T4 easily but I die frequently....
I'm doing my own fire build set up. I had Maximus but the 2-handed Great Axe just decimated it stat wise. I had to switch it out.
I use the follow skills:
Punish - Roar : This procs frequently for me. I really enjoy this skill.
I was using Sweep Attack with Blazing Sweep but as the OP suggested I am now trying out Blessed Hammer with Burning Wrath.
Iron Skin - Steel Skin - My shield Hallowed Bulwark gives Iron Skin a 52% increase Block Chance. 11% Base on the Shield. This makes Punish go off like the Fourth of July. If I am surrounded by mobs they quickly fall to a slim few.
Falling Sword - Super Heated
Law of Justice - Immovable Objects
Akaratt's Champion - Fire Starter: This skill is great, love it. If I die while using it I am back at full health.
Blazing Sweep would be great if it worked, but unfortunately (unless it got hotfixed and I didn't notice) the 170% fire damage portion does more like 1.7%. Whatever the value is, it's ludicrously low, 3-4 digit damage.

yup its bugged, i have over 100% fire damage with it and it hits for like 20-40k while the 400% part of the skill crits for 12 million.....
This is my crusader.And build
I have not really paid any attention to how much damage is coming off of Slash/Carve, but I am currently grinding T3. I say "grinding" because I am using health pots more often than usual. I barely need them in T2 unless I get caught by a jailer+freezing+arcane+plagued... you get the idea.
Maximus and my bracers give me a 34% bonus damage to fire skills, so I changed it over to my current fire dmg build. This is the first time that I have come across items that have convinced me to change my build. I thought of using the steed for my ohcrap button, and I might try it for a bit... but right now, the falling sword nicely smashes low health mobs and I can always fall onto a health globe as needed. And I found that hitting condemn/vacuum and then falling sword right before it goes off is a lovely combo for burst dmg.
The maximus demon tends to get a lot of agro in T3 and dies easily against elites, but I was able to take down Odeg without dying.

Looking for feedback. I'd really like to be doing T3 or higher without dying so frequently...
should be burning them for at least 4-5 mil
