Hi, when I mouse over block % it says "You have a maximum of 75% block" which confuses me on a couple of points...
Th details part of block % doesn't cap out until 100%, is this a bug and it does in fact cap out at 75% or is it 100%?
Now, even though details part caps at 100% everyone playing this build gets block everywhere possible... Why? Does the extra block % continue to apply for the justice lantern effect even over 100%? I mean I imagine with block on lantern, shield, blood brother, block from Punish and Provoke these people must have like 150 - 200% block. Is there some advantage to having this much?
The point i guess not a block itself, but additional damage reduction/buff. More than 100% just a side effect of this. Sadly don`t know about real capping - 75% or 100%.
Blocking, the ability to reduce the damage by not being hit but getting it blocked and thus reducing its damage is CAPPED at 75%. However, you can stack it higher and the Justice Lantern (ring) buff will go past this 75% threshold.
I mean you can't look at it like that with blood brother. It is literally just too good to not cube. 30% more reduction on blocks and 30% dmg on the next hit after each block... you block a fuck ton when you pull massive amounts is too good to give up. You will over cap block and it isn't an issue.
The one thing you don't want to do is put 11% block on your shield. Even if Eternal Union counted block over 100%(you can hit 101% without it on your shield btw) that ~6% reduction isn't gonna be make or brake on living. A 280str gem + 1.5% more overall str(we can hit 25k+ strength this season... another 1.5% is a lot) is gonna be better than 11% block over 100%.

This also works past 100%?
im at 95% block with blood brother cubed, should i switch to a diff weapon and drop to 75%?
According to rhaepso`s post - no. Survivability from Justice Lantern still matters.
79.88% dmg reduction with blood brother cubed at 95% block and 189,903,760 toughness
73.58% dmg reduction without blood brother at 75% block and 144,622,256 toughness
roughly 6.3% dmg reduction difference but 45 million toughness loss, i will do some greater rifts without blood brother to see how it goes.
