Thank you in advance. I need the community's expert advice on where to go next with my 70/150 Barbarian.
Currently I am rifting T4 most evenings and do play 2-3 hours a night, 3-4 times per week and if I am not out, most of Saturdays and Sundays. Here is a link to my current build:
In my stash I have access to the following items not equipped:
Immortal Kings Boulder Breaker 2h
Raekor helm, chest, and shoulders
Invoker gloves, shoulder, helm
Will of the Earth pants, shoulder, boots
Leoric's Signet Ring
Bul-Kathos Wedding Band
plus some other odds and ends
my Paragon spend is: 38-Strength, 38-Critical Hit Damage, 37-Resist All, and 37-Life on Hit
I am running a somewhat typical Whirlwind/Lightning build with always-on Call of the Ancients (Council Rises). I am open to switching to a different build but not finding I am dying often if the rest of the group has good dps. I tend to do very little soloing (although my templar got an Enchanting Favor relic, so I was quite happy with that).
What should I be focusing on? What gear is next? (curses on no drop of Thunderfury, gah!). Is my Paragon set up optimally? I am running 30.5% Crit Hit Chance, and am sitting on 13 mil in my stash since I leveled up forging and jewel crafting toupgrade some of my gems. I also experimented with reforging certain slots, unsuccessfully I might add, which cost a penny. I belong to a small clan (under 10 members, but active friends).
I really appreciate your feedback, good and bad on how I can improve.
Quick glance:
1. Rings with Str, CHD, CHC maybe Attk spd
2. Amulet with STR CHC CHD maybe Attk Spd
3. Odyn Son needs str, hopefully u can reroll that vitality
4. Shard of Hate reroll vit-> +%dmg if u havent rerolled for a socket yet
5. Bracers get something with +%lightning dmg and crit chance, Craft Reaper Wraps
I would suggest for gameplay.....
Drop EQ, use Hammer of the ancients- lightning rune
Use Call of the Ancients-lightning rune Together as One, or Ancient's Fury for fury gen
As of right now, you're most likely getting carried through t4.....your damage and gear atm seems at most t2 atm as you're missing main stat str on a lot of gear and missing a lot of CHD and CHC.
Also a note is that additional MF is pretty useless atm as only 1% of ur total MF contributes to finding legendaries.....so your forced set rings actually only contribute .15%
All res also seems low, maybe fitting in war shout -impunity will help too.
You mention boosting atk spd for a WW build. I was curious as to whether WW is actually affected by atk spd%. WW functions similarly to strafe and tempest rush, and it is often preferred to use slow hitting weapons on those builds, due to a fixed rate of attack speed, and an issue which causes channeling costs to be applied relative to atk spd. In short, on other similar builds, atk spd is in fact detrimental to a build, as it creates more resource drain, and provides no dmg bonus.
I do not presume to be well-versed in this area of discussion, so if I am mistaken, please forgive my insolence. I am simply asking for confirmation.
If you are planning to keep running lightning WW, use lightning dmg/STR/VIT/CC reaper wraps instead of nemesis (change before you click on shrines, than change it again), Ring of Royal Grandeur (as H02X said, it gives you a lot of options), a lightning SoJ (or a STR/CC/CHD/1 other good stat, like vit or all res, if you dont have a SoJ), and an amulet with lightning dmg/STR/CHD/CC as jewerly. Since you have the RoRG, you can use 3 pieces IK for the full effect. A fast way to improve some of your dmg/toughness woul be using Shoulders / Helm or Armor from Aughilds, or dump the reapers wraps for shoulders / bracers, if you dont need the regen. If you use the aughilds bracers, you can change your IK boots for a good Blackthorne's boots, getting the 3-set bonus, wich is decent for a start. Its really important to get as much elemental dmg bonus and elite dmg bonus as possible, since they boost you eDPS way more than your sheet dps shows.
Rerolls: Assuming that you didnt rerolled anything that have sockets, you should:
1 - get 6% CC on your helm;
2 - dump avalanche dmg on your chest armor for either earthquake or a survivability stat, wich i think is better (15% life or 11% elite dmg reduction, since you cant get all resists and +armor isnt that good on str chars);
3 - get another Blackthornes pants (you need the 2 sockets and STR/VIT roll - alternatively you can dump Blackthornes all together for another crafted sets, like crimsoms, if you like cooldown reduction, or ashearas, if you like more toughness);
4 - get lvl 200 ASAP, so you can get 25% move speed just from paragon lvls, then reroll move speed from your boots to VIT (or get blackthornes boots with the same stats plus vit);
5 - reroll VIT into STR on Odyns Son;
6 - reroll VIT into 10% dmg on Shard of Hate;
7 - Get the other items as mencioned before. Aughilds shoulders with STR/VIT/All res/%Life, bracers (aughilds or reapers wraps) with %lighning/STR/VIT/CC, SoJ with %lighting/STR/CC or CHD/% elite dmg (or other ring with CC/CHD/STR/VIT or all res), RoRG with STR/IAS/CC/CHD (if perfect, if not, at least with STR/IAS/CC or CHD, wich is a normal rerolled RoRG), amulet with %lightning/STR/CC/CHD. The amulet can be anyone with those stats, but the ideal is to get one with an element imunity or a perfect Ess of Johan (in this case, keep the socket planning for patch 2.1), at least for now.
Skill wise, you can keep the ones you use, but change CoTA to Together as One (lightning dmg and extra survivability). War Cry is a great choice too. On your passives, I strongly recommend Rampage, since its really easy to get full stacks (everything that dies while youre on the game counts as an stack, even if you dont kill it), and it gives you both toughness and dmg.Finally, try as much as possible to upgrade your gems.
PS.: Sorry for any grammar problems, its not my first language - and its really late here.
Edit: Took out IAS from optional affix in Ring and Cain set from alternative. PsykStrike have a point on the problems that affect IAS, at least for now, since it can become a good thing when the buffed Life on Hit comes to live servers. Just to clarify: IAS buffs your raw dmg, but just as any other channeling spell, it makes your WW consume more fury, wich can be bad, if you dont have a way to maintain fury because of it. If, on the other side, you have absolutely no problem with Fury management, IAS can still be considered as an upgrade, since you will hit more with WW, proc more both your weapons, buff a little your CoTA (not sure if with actual attack speed or with a dmg multiplier, like fetishes), and can regen more life with LoH - post 2.1.
I got Thunderfury to drop (yay, and its a good roll too !!!). I also made some changes but need more mats + gems to finish the changes. The rest comes with time. Thank you for your feedback!

Certain ww breakpoints can be reached with ias. Look at starliaths thread for a spread sheet to calculate it.
My chest is just temporary.. acidently broke it down when testing Reakors
Spaulders of Zakara and depth diggers? could use improvements there. Maybe even craft aughilds chest and shoulders...well that depends on what your chest is. Maybe aim for IK chest and use Thundergod's belt. If u find yourself spinning a lot....hexing pants would be nice tooIFyou start spinning while moving.
Odyn could also be improved.....maybe if u can get a 2k+ one would be nice. SoH and TF are also very viable.
Maybe find a 6% crit and lightning dmg bonus on ur andys
To me personally TF, Ody, SoH, Sunkeeper are all very viable weapons for lightning spec
My barb is just about the same as yours. I wonder if you put the Thundefury on your templar and use Odyn Son would give you some larger hits and more lightning dmg +17%. The Odyn son proc also scales which TF's does not.
For CotA I keep buff gear in my bag for summoning them since they are always on, its a quick switch. Their summon is a snapshot from what you had when you summoned them. Since they scale with attack speed I get max attack speed (+25%) and +fire dmg items and use The Council Rises which makes them hit like a truck.
The only downside to CotA is their AI is a bit of a mess and they are more of a gaggle than the pillagers I imagine them as.

suggestion:
- use the amulet on your templar and re-roll the "resource cost" to "+% to lightning" or "crit hit dam increase"
- use the odyn son on your templar. main hand shard of hate and then off-hand odyn son.
- use the SoJ on your templay (if you want, try to re-roll the physical to lightning although the physical is already at 20%)
- get a well rolled reapers wrap
