A lot of people seem to think that the earthquake build is the only way. I like earthquake myself but you are very squishy and randomly get 1shot and stuck in mobs if you are not careful.
There's nothing wrong with farming t1-3 until you get the gear to progress and that is how I obtained all my gear and I purely use t6 for gold and xp farming. If you dont like the music mute and play something else
I would think it might be more beneficial to drop Whirlwind and take Battle Shout (Bloodshed) for the nice damage boost. You don't seem to have any fury issues, and already have frenzy on your bar for those off chance low fury moments.
Overall, nice build idea. I have full Raekor's and some nice Lightning gear on my second barb, so I might give it a try. Sadly I'm lacking SoH and Unity, but it still looks like a nice quick farm build for lower torments.
There are a few times you were lucky to have that Unity damage reduction lol... without it, I don't think that build would survive T6 any better than most Leap builds. My Cold Leaper (Lela - Cold Leaper) cruises through T5 at a fast pace in solo games, but still has a rough time in T6 without the Unity.
Let me know if you give Battle Shout a try, interested to see if it helps any.
I saw you struggle vs 1 elite and a bunch of trash mobs while wearing a unity ring.......................... NOT viable.
Lol killing act4 mobs equals struggling? Struggling would be dying and I didn't die. I have a trifecta julias for lazers. WW is for going through mobs really if you ever get stuck and your charge bugs. Once we finally see elemental changes this build will become even stronger. On a side note it's funny how people think unity on t6 makes you a god.

You dropped to 10%, this with unity ring. and it took you ages to kill. Even that overrated earthquake build would be more viable.

Hello there Motormouse I just switched over too lightning again from fire. Atm I run lightning with 71% lightning dmg and 30% elite dmg and full raekor I have Odyn son with 20% lightning dmg - 748 str and 37% proc chance. and a decent thunderfury. I haven't found SoH yet. But I find lightning very fun with raekor. but I don't know if I should change whirlwind to Frenzy -> Smite. Cause I barely use Whirlwind. That is the exact build im thinking of swapping to. Lets hope they make ww good with the next patch and we can drop hota ^-^
