Hello fellow diablo fans and barbarian players. I need some of you guys' expertise on this.
Here I have my items and my stats for my barbarian. It'd help me a lot if you guys could help me out on which item I can actually get a greater upgrade on. Thank you so much.

Your weapons look like the weakest point to me. If you're doing a whirlwind build, the attack speed on the axe isn't helping much, and the high dps on the offhand could be traded out for more strength and crit, even a dagger with low(ish) dps could be a pretty good upgrade. The best part about the sword is the attack speed, but that wouldn't make much of a difference if you swapped out to a dagger. You might lose some character sheet dps if you swap to a so called "stat stick," but your actual damage output will probably go up quite a bit. Getting more life steal certainly couldn't hurt. Of course, if you' AREN'T using a whirlwind build, all of this is sort of incorrect except for the life steal bit.

Would you mind breaking down for me even more? I have 2 build in mind right now, Whirlwind build just for Paragon leveling. Then there's my Hammer build with Berserk, that's my main mobbing / elite killing build. As if right now I'm not sure how to optimize it, and the way you just explained, is really vague to really conclude what I should be looking forward to. But thank you for responding to me.

for WW build: get boots with 12% movement speed. While it does not seem to be a crucial, it helps a lot if you have WW+Hurricane rune. I bought Firewalkers this week and the runs are much faster + extra dmg from firewalkers. The point is that if you move faster during your WW, the longer way you can run so you create more Tornadoes = more dmg. If you move slowly, you create only 3-4 during 3 sec sprint.
Also, not sure what is your main hand and off-hand. However, offhand, wheather it is 1100dps or 900dps weapon, it is weak in stats. Get one (main) with more strenght (140+) and possibly life after hit and/or LL (+ socket obviously). On offhand, go for low dps (550-700) and get extra stats on it: str (150+), crit dmg, LL/LoH, socket
You also have really nice crit dmg, you might go down to 400-450 in exchange for some IAS on rings. This will help a lot as well.
Cant tell anything on Hammer build as I never played that.
My main hand is the Axe 990 and my off hand is the Sword 1100. I'm using Weapon Master Passive.
I have some few questions, how much does Strength actually increase my general damage by? How do we calculate it?
Secondly, is there a reason to get a lower dps wep on the off hand?
Thirdly, what does LL or LoH and IAS stand for?
Thanks.

LL life leach LOH life on hit IAS increased attack speed. run like the wind ability creates tornado's which do damage based off ur main hand weapon. the faster ur attack speed the faster the tornado's tick. they take ur attack speed in alternation between ur main hand an off hand. so if u have a super slow main hand with very high damage and slow attack.. and an offhand which is very fast.. ur tornado;s will tick faster half the time as well as do a lot more damage.
most people go with a mace or axe main hand with very high damage and slow attack speed, socket or crit damage. then the offhand maybe a sword or dagger with super fast attack with all the things u need.. life steal socket, crit damage, life on hit and str, attack speed
example:
mainhand mace with 1200dps and socket and life steal
offfhand dagger with 600dps 150str, socket, crit damage life steal
when u have over 100k dps u can use life steal exclusively on ur weapons and belt.. coupled with ur 3% life steal passive.. thats 9%-12% life steal

Ohhh! I see! But why would I need a lower dps on offhand? What's the reason for that? Since several people above me said something about lower DPS but more stats.

the character sheet dps can be deceiving in regards to WW spec.. so even if u have a very low dps offhand u'll be doing a ton of damage with tornado's... that said if ur offhand is very high DPS your Whirl winds will do a lot more damage... it alternates damage between ur main hand and off hand.. but ur tornado's actually might do LESS damage if the offhand doesnt have supporting stats.. overall doing less damage
Str on hands/wrists is too low. If you do not have problems with survivabilty - i would trade vit/all res from them to 150+ str. Or just upgrade str, if you have enough gold.
