I have been playing Barb for a little while now, looking at other players builds as I do for inspiration in my own, one thing I see crop up a lot is Revenge. Is it really that good? I tried it out once when I first unlocked it but the 15% chance of going off never seemed to work out for me or I didn't notice it activate. Is it worth getting better to notice when it goes off or should I just go with other AOE skills?
Yar it is a must pretty disappointing too. Could just be a lack of gear on my end but im going through Nightmare solo currently and I don't think I could do it without Revenge. It's saved my butt so much. Frankly it's to the point I think it's mandatory... In fact when solo seems almost mandatory to take any and every rune that has a heal component to it. lol I'm sure it's not quite as unforgiving in multiplayer but solo in Nightmare and beyond yeah... don't think it's possible without.
It's a non-spender build except for Battle rage so I can always activate the heal if needed.

I grew up gaming without internet forums. The entire phenomenon of being upset with a game developer makes no sense to me. No sense. I cannot imagine spending my time and energy being upset about something I choose to do for recreation.
Revenge is nice; but if you take other skills, you won't be getting hit nearly as often. There's a lot of give and take in your build selection; which makes it fun.
The only time I take damage is on elite packs. I have a 1 hander and a shield so that helps.
I charge in, ground stomp, rend, cleave. It's game over for everything. I'm missing a hard hitting single target attack so I need to fix that at some point.
Furious charge is awesome because it has a slight knockback feature, so if you are in a tight spot, just charge anything and you'll make an opening for yourself. The downside of furious charge is that it has terrible pathfinding so you'll get stuck on rocks sometimes.
Ignore pain with the knockback is awesome too. And if you don't have cleave with rupture; I'm sorry. It's a crowd clearer. You can chain together so many deaths, it's unbelievable.
