In all my diablo games my first characters were melee. Warrior in Diablo 1, then onto the barbarian for Diablo II. Sure, there was a paladin, but i felt the demeanor of the barbarian to be a preferance of mine. Now after all that happened in LoD, I definitely want to play another barbarian. Glad they returned for Diabo III
I suppose it was the Whirlwind. The first time I saw my friend doing it in D2 with a Pike I was sold! I just like to run around and push that whirlwind and see monsters fall
For me, the reason that i tend to gravitate towards melee characters is because they tend to be able to dish out higher amounts of dps, since (if they're "balanced") they don't have the ability to do lots of dmg from ranged and can potentially be kited. I've played a lot of ranged classes as well and they also have high dmg potential, but i like the immursion of the pure brutality of , in-your-face rapage on boss fights and pvp lol
If I don't who will?! everyone else who wants to play a barbarian ofcourse! I've always liked the barbarian type classes, purely because all of that magic and spells stuff doesn't interest me one bit, just pick up a sword/hammer/axe and swing at a few heads is good enough for me no matter how boring it gets.
...Wait a moment, I apologise for using the word boring and barbarian in the same post! Barbarians are the least boring class of all!

im going barb just because i fell in love with warriors on WoW. the fact that im up there smashing faces makes the game for me. and plus from the videos ive watched barbs look pretty damn cool
RIP: Demon Hunter: lvl 50 | Barb: lvl 60 (plvl 5) | Monk: lvl12 & lvl70 (plvl 200)
and once im tired of that i play an Amazon/hunter class. cuz i love bows and such as well. but then im back to barb again ;D
