1. Weapon Throw (Indigo rune - jumps to up to 5 enemies within 20 yards) main dmg attack, awesome 210% weapon damage attack that you spam. (410% dmg in total with passive and battle rage) i think it hits more targets with a lvl 7 rune, 8 targets i believe. - good sub is crimson rune to increase total throw damage to 568% weapon damage for bosses.
2. Battle Rage (Crimson for 70% damage increase) increasing damage of thrown weapons and spear
3. Leap Attack (Obsidian - Mobs take 100% wpn dmg within 7.5 yards of the origin of the jump) - this is to get away since all your attacks are ranged.
4. Ancient Spear (Alabaster - pushes enemies instead of pulls and increases to 110% damage) 310% damage from this with passive ability below and battle rage - use if you need rage or enemies get too close.
5. Call of Ancients (Golden - increased duration to 55 seconds) i believe its 80 seconds with lvl 7 rune
6. War Cry (Golden - increase fury generation to 42)
Passives
1. Unforgiving (no longer degenerate fury, instead generate 1 fury every 2 seconds)
2. Animosity (increase fury generation by 10% and total fury by 20)
3. No Escape (increases ancient spear damage and weapon throw by 100% and killing enemy with ancient spear resents CD and killing someone with weapon throw grants 20 fury)
i have the call of the ancients for extreme situations. and with reduced CD because situations will happen often especially in hell/inferno. so with a short time in between you could potentially call them quite often it seems.
i think this build is extremely viable in end-game and will be ALOT of fun to use. and a very amazing boss killer for when you can't simply just stand there and hack away without getting killed super fast. you can kite the boss around and throw 568% weapon damage at him pretty fast.
-Fury issues on mobs-
if you think this will have fury issues, your wrong. i don't think you realize how insane 568% weapon dmg really is with even a ok to crappy weapon, lol. you would use an awesome 2 hander for crazy huge hits. and 310% from ancient spear will easily kill things and reset the CD, heck you might be able to use ancient spear spam with a good enough weapon. and getting a full fury refund when you kill a target from weapon throw. and with the passives, war cry , leap its pretty much impossible to find yourself without fury OR the means to easily get more. and I'm PRETTY sure that if you kill multiple targets with weapon throw, which also will happen very often, you will get a HUGE fury bonus, (20 fury per kill) and it'll seem like your always at full fury. if this is untrue it STILL works with fury generators you have. i doubt you will ever really run into situations where you have no fury, BUT just in case - your rotation would be "*weapon throw* oh shit its not dead, and i have no fury! *ancient spear* dead, CD resets and can do it again, *leap attack* away and/or *war cry* for instant 65 fury, DOH i can weapon throw again spam spam spam" -repeat in those specific situations.
-Fury issues on boss fights-
Boss rotation - "*call of ancients* *war cry* *leap attack* *ancient spear* throw throw throw *leap attack* *ancient spear* throw throw" while kiting. i see no reason why you can't repeat this forever until boss is dead. except CD on war cry. Animosity and unforgiving will help to bridge the gap in fury and you shouldn't ever have a problem with it. but of course we will only know at final release. definitely going to test this build ASAP
Insanity (skeleton king 2 shotted, over 60% health in 1 hit)
this is the barb using weapon throw, BUT way nerfed compared to my build because he doesn't have the 100% passive or the increased battle rage, now obviously he's way higher lvl then usual (ppl usually fight the skeleton king at lvl 7 he is 13). his gear can't be great since its just the first part of norm, and his BASIC damage attack is 440 dmg. so assuming that at lvl 30 you could EASILY achieve 1,000 basic dmg. and with my exact build. = ~4000 damage EACH hit (with lower lvl runes and low balling it) and 3200 damage to up to 8 enemies if your using AOE rune... that will destroy mobs in NM in one hit, no way mobs in Nightmare have more then 3k HP. when you should only have around 600-1000 at that point. (probably less). doubtful mobs will have triple the PLAYERS hit points. lmao.
You only gain fury with the generating skills and you do not have any that does it quickly without a kill or a cooldown.
Weapon throw only generates fury when it kills with that skill.
Ancient Spear will generate Fury but it has a cooldown. Yes you do have a skill that resets the cooldown but you have to kill with the skill.
Unforgiving will help with Fury but it will not add enough to spam Weapon Throw.
I do think you do need a fury generator that you can use at any time so you can use throw more often if facing monsters that are not 1 hit kills or against bosses.

On Strike and supporting Fallout 4 Mod Makers
Some fallout 4 mod makers have had their mods stolen and uploaded and downloaded on Bethesda's site for the Xbox One.
As Hans has already mentioned your build lacks one critical component: a spammable damage and fury generator, i.e. either Bash, Cleave or Frenzy. As the build currently has no less than 4 fury spenders I would recommend removing one of these and putting in Frenzy instead. Best bet seems to be one of the expensive ones, either CotA or Earthquake.
To me it also seems that Unforgiving isn't doing very much for this build, I'm certain there are other passives that could be more useful.
Another good way to increase fury gain is to use a golden rune in Ancient Spear, with a reasonably good rune each spear you toss will gain enough fury for 2 throws. I am also curious to see exactly how No Escape will affect Weapon Throw, if it realy does give you 20 fury per killed enemy (and there is not cap of this per throw), the ricochet version will be too good, and likely get nerfed in future patches. I'm guessing there will be a cap of max 20 fury gained per throw, regardless of how many enemies you kill. Otherwise dread shot would be ridiculously overpowered.
PS: the barbarian resource is called fury and not rage, but we get the point anyway.
thanks changed all rage to fury. lol I'm dumb :P.
also this build doesn't include factors like fury regen bonuses from items and such. and with unforgiving is a must. 'why?' because every second your not using fury, your losing it, and now instead of that your constantly gaining it, HUGE difference as i see it. so if your in town doing stuff for a min or two you'll walk out with max fury. or enough to spam throws a few times. with fury gained from using spear at right times (watching health bars so you know when it will kill) you can potentially use it twice every time, or maybe over and over if you throw a ricochet and it lowers down 8 guys and then you kill each one by one with spear to finish them off, then your at max fury again. its all very hypothetical but i think the potential is there.
why not use revenge with obsidian rune instead of leap? you'll knock back alot of enemies, to give you distance to mobs. and you get 5% hp/mob. only downside is it only has 10% to activate. but you'll do AOE damage anyways.
i dont think the 400% def is gonna help you much, if you only use it to gain distance, cause it lasts to short time. it would only be good if you jump into a pack of mobs.
leap adds fury, AND revenge is MELEE, i don't plan on being hit very often at all or hitting at all in melee, thats the point of this guild. as ill be kiting around mobs and throwing 90% of the time.
Leap only adds fury if you hit with it, and it seems your plan is to run away with it. If that were my plan I would probably go with obsidian in leap. But I would also seriously consider furious charge. With a golden rune you have the potential of a lot of fury.

i do have obsidian in leap now. also this is a zero melee, zero main fury generators build. i don't plan on ever hitting anything up close. think of this as a ranged build. he doesn't have much survivability so charging into a group is the exact opposite of what to do with this build. and i already have plenty of fury generators
I serioiusly doubt this build will work past nightmare. Reason: lack of fury generation.
Think of the following cycle:
1) cast War Cry, cast Battle Rage, leap into a group and then throw a spear. This generates 80 fury, of which 20 is spent for Battle Rage.
2) You have 60 fury left, which is spent on 3 throws. If you don't kill anything (which is a real possibility on harder levels, since the above effects deal little damage) you are left without any damage dealing and fury generation until the cooldowns wear off. In short: if you kill nothing your only option is to run away.
3) If you actually manage to kill stuff, you will be left with 20 fury from the final kill with throw. Now you have to repeat the above cycle, but the cooldown for War Cry is 30s, so you will now only be able to leap and throw a spear, for a total of 33 fury which is enough for only 1 more throw (plus the 20 you saved from the last combat). You can now only throw 2 times before you are out.
I guess one option would be to not use a spear in part 1, and instead save that for almost-dead enemies after you have thrown. But this only gives you enough fury for 2 throws, not 3, so it will probably not work very often.
In short, your whole build focuses on part 2, and if you kill nothing you are totally screwed.
i know this, this build can throw for insane damage far greater then any build in the game besides meteor, and you cant spam meteor like you can weapon throw. throwing for nearly 600% dmg with a good weapon will hit for insane amounts. if my guestimation calculations are even close i will one shot most things in hell and maybe even stuff in inferno with a good weapon. this is strictly a solo build, because if i was in a group i would need much more damage hence more fury to kill things. constant fury generation plus full refund when i kill is what i'm counting on. ive argued this build to death.. the ONLY way anyone can know for sure is when game is released. if i can one shot most things, or just throw throw > spear *dead* spear throw throw > spear spear.. so on and so forth to maintain constant fury, with war cry + leap for extra rage. because i doubt a mob will last through 1446% (568%x2 from throw 310% from spear)of my wpn dmg with an even ok to good weapon in ANY difficulty.
if you think mobs will last through 1446% weapon damage in inferno, which i don't. then ok the build wont work at all, not even WITH a melee generator because the melee generator would get you instantly killed in inferno since you dont have great defense. so a throw barb wouldnt even be viable in inferno period, BUT its damage being higher then that of a melee build which according to blizz barbs die like crazy in inferno... so if he was ranged he could kill 10x easier. so i think it will work BETTER then a melee barb. but hey, again, its release will tell all... i plan on making a barb 2nd (after rushing the wizard to 60 for loot and such for my alts) and then once he's up there i will post results of my different builds for proof.
id say if it really needed a bit extra fury, then sub alabaster rune in spear for golden to double fury generation. and if you only used it when it killed something, pulling its dead body towards you wouldnt matter. and the CD would reset so you could use it again right away for 60 fury. then you can wpn throw 3 times in a row even if you dont kill anything. so ya that would help. but i still think it doesnt need any more help.
again if you watch that lvl 13 barb in the beta 2 shot the skeleton king with weapon throw... which is not even close to the strength it will be at max. yes he's higher level then the boss but STILL. 2 shots? first shot nearly took 65% of his health. even at lvl 30 itll be like 20x more powerful then that. if it can 2 shot a mini-boss in norm with it extremely low compared to its full power... do you REALLY think it wont 1 shot regular mobs later? lol
