In response to it being the barbs movement skill and how multiple bunny hops or a double jump would hinder its movement, say when trying to leap over an obstacle. How about it do its hopping but when it comes to an obstacle is just leaps over it normally.
Ex, You have a rune that causes 5 hops.. so you cast it; hop hop hop (than you encounter a chasm)Big leap over chasm, hop (or maybe one more hop, depending if you consider the chasm leap as a hop)than land..
How about that?

I agree with feminism. I don't think that it's right that for every dollar a man makes, a women gets 70 cents. Why do I only get 30 cents and some chick gets the rest?
I was thinking that when the Barbarian lands he would emit a blast-wave knocking enemies back and possibly setting the ground beneath him ablaze.
Another version I thought of would be instead of jumping into a mob of enemies, perhaps jumping over them instead and launching a directional fan of knives if you will below him as he goes dealing a low percentage of weapon damage to all enemies.
He crouches then takes off straight up in a Neo(from the matrix) style blast off move, disappears off the top of the screen then in a flash blasts back down onto the the target area creating a crater and massive AoE damage.
(sounds kind of unrealistic but would still be badass to do)

@Upgradez I could've faceplanted on the keyboard and still killed everything in act 1.
The barbarian leap with immense strength, landing a blow with devastating force that crush his target half feet into the ground. The target is immobilize for the next half second and his movement speed are reduced by 40% for the next 2 seconds.
- The barbarian leaves his weapon impaling the ground, then leaps and it causes an electrical line of damage connected from the weapon to wherever the bar is for X seconds.
- If the barbarian lands and hits 4 or more enemies he enters a 3 second frenzy mode increasing damage and Ias. ( or kills 3+ enemies)
- The barbarian releases a Tornado moving in a random direction dealing X damage upon landing.( higher rune= more tornado's or stronger ones)
- If there is an enemy in close proximity upon the leap, the barbarian carries the enemy into the air and uses it as a weapon, releasing it upon landing knocking back foes and dealing X dmg.
- Leap attack cost X% less Rage but his range is also reduced by X yards.
seeing how strategy is supposed to be more important a taunt one would be cool, when you land all monsters within a x radius focus attacks on you, would be good to save a friends life. The radius could increase with rune levels. Doubt it'll happen but it'd be kinda cool.
When the barbarian lands all enemies flee in terror for a short time.
Those are some nice ideas that would definitely add flavour to the skill.
Add 2 "normal rune effects" - one gives Fury reduction and the other increased casting speed/range, and a crazy one: "The Barbarian rips a chunk of the ground, throws it and jumps on top of it, smashing smaller enemies instantly" Hulk style
The Barbarian attaches his weapon to a chain before he leaps, leaving it in the ground at his original position, and upon landing rips it through all enemies in the path of the leap.
The Barbarian sends out a rippling shockwave in all directions where he lands his leap, knocking down enemies
The Barbarian's sheer mass causes pillars of earth and stone to erupt around the area where he lands his leap, damaging and knocking back enemies.
I thought it would be fun to brainstorm and share ideas of rune effects for various skills. I will start the Barbarian off with Leap Attack:
The Barbarian makes a mighty leap, causing a percentage weapon damage to all nearby enemies upon landing.
Crimson = Fills the barbarian's eyes with rage, increasing damage of his/her attack or my favorite Fills the barbarians heart with the thirst for blood, STEALING LIFE from his target.
Indigo = An icey coating extending from the barbarian's weapons around his arms freezes target(s) and does a ring of ice damage on impact. Or barbarian senses the magical energy in his opponent in air and steals mana with his strike.
Obsidian = black volcanic glass sharper than any blade affixed to the tip of his weapon so, Critical hit or increased damage or open wounds if still going
Gold = embued with the grandure of kings, stuns target and releases ring of knockback over a 5 foot radius
Alabaster = Focuses the barbarian's instincts during leap so that he finds the optimum striking point to increase area of effect. or. On his ascent he attracts the energy of a lightning strike with his weapon over his head and delivers it to the enemy's face with increased lightning damage. face or wherever
That would be pretty cool. A giant lightning bolt energizing the Barbarian's weapon at the peak of his jump and emitting an electrified shockwave as he lands.
Barbarian does a backflip instead of a leap. Your Barbarian is now "really cool" and all nearby enemies start attempting to do a backflip too for X seconds.

PVE - Breaks the "You can't see and loot other party members loot" immunity for XXX seconds. *Yay more loot!
