Diablo The barbarian class page has been updated with a new piece of concept art depicting the female barbarian as well as a close-up view of her in-game model. Check out this new look at a relentless terror of the battlefield over at the barbarian class page.
So I saw. She looks a little more physcially imposing than her male counterpart. Though why they gave her a chest size that big boggles me. I mean, she has legs that look like she could launch into outer space Team Rocket style if you breathe in her general direction the wrong way and arms that look just as scrawny as the male monk's. Just my two cents, but, bottom half looks fine and the top half looks a tad disproportionate.

Agreed, but I am glad they didn't fall prey to the "Hey, lets make her look like a slut" motif that surrounds most videogames these days.
When I thought of the female barbarian, my thoughts immediately went towards something a bit like "women bodybuilders." Now, as far as looks go in the physicality department, THOSE women would frighten me. In fact, I think they could personally demolish those tiny 6-7 foot long box-looking cars just with their bare hands. I wonder if the Dev team at Blizzard thought to look at any of those people when considering the look for the female Barb.

Might be..
A. Early concept / They gave the monk this application instead
B. Standard equipment when he has no weapon
C. Something we might see as an cool unique set of weapon
I, for one, believe that fixed gender was the most sensible. Sex change is implemented only for social reasons and is really adding little, if not any, value to the actual game. Female Barbarian... Ridiculous. Even fantasy lore-wise, I am still intrigued to learn how a female from the barbarian tribes could become a warrior of this extent, taking into account the way that the barbarian tribe societies are built.
Fantasy-lore is loosely based off of reality yes? There were female Vikings (what the original barbarians // berserkers were based off of). Do not forget the Forgotten Realms series that also speaks of female barbarians... females must also learn how to fight like the men, and were expected to hunt if they were not child-laden.
