Great post! This information will help greatly when farming gear for season 5 and leaves no question on what gear we will need and the stats. Will really help streamline that process.
So I have a question for you about Wreath of Lightning. Would it be more beneficial to run the wreath over Pain Enhancer due to the 25% movement speed bonus? Granted this is for a little lower rift than what you run, as well as group play not solo.
I have looked at the scaling for both, while Pain Enhancer starts out with a higher % damage done, Wreath of Lightning scales better in the long run giving you more damage per second. Wreath of Lightning ticks ever second, where as Pain Enhancer puts on a 3 second bleed. I tested the Wreath myself to see what the up time was on it, and I never saw it fall off when I was in a good rift with mob density, I always had lightning shooting out hitting things.
For higher GR you need focus+restraint. Wreath of lightning is only for speed rifts and bounties I suppose if you don't need toughness from Esoteric you can use Wreath but pain enhancer has no place in this build worked well with the old Reakor though
I'm using your raekor grift build, which is totally insane.
I've got some questions concerning the cube's weapon.
Standoff description is "Furious Charge deals increased damage equal to 200–250% of your bonus movement speed"
- With the "normal" speed of 125%, you've got 25% bonus movement speed, which gives 62,5% bonus dmg.
Better than furnace, and does also apply to trash mobs, not only elites.
- With "marathon" speed, you've got 65% bonus movement speed, which gives 162,5% bonus dmg.
- Speed pylons give you additional bonuses, although i don't know what are their additional movement speed (30-40% i suppose)
Let's say 30%, so we've got 95% bonus movement speed, which gives 237,5% bonus dmg.
Really insane, but speed pylons are rare, this is a really temporary bonus.
The description for oathkeeper is "Your primary skills attack 50% faster and deal 150–200% increased damage"
I don't think 50% faster attack really matters for furious charge (maybe faster animation ?), but the 200% dmg bonus seems overall better than 162,5% from standoff, and you could even replace the "sprint" slot with something more interesting (overpower, ignore pain, war cry, revenge ?)
As i understand the description for oathkeeper, it is 200% dmg in addition of your 100% normal dmg.
If you deal only 200% of your normal dmg (so 100% bonus), standoff would be of course way better.
Is there something i misunderstood with the oathkeeper description or with the theorycrafting ?!
Thanks,
MilonZ
[EDIT] I understood by myself, furious charge is not a "primary attack", although it generates rage.
Too bad, oath keeper does not add any bonuses in this case =/
Eyo chainer, do you also have a build for barbarian for 'The Thrill' conquest? have been struggling with this one for a bit.
And also i used your speed raekor build for the Avarice conquest on the Ruins Of Corvus in act 5. Just aggro everything till the end of the map so everything spawn, than walk back killing all. Thx!
REALLY dumb question: For the weapon you say %DMG, Str, Vit, Socket (IK Boulder Breaker FC Grift) - or soemthing along those lines. Do I really remove the weapon damage in favor of %dmg?
I'm a pretty pedantic individual, so even though this seems like something nobody would ever do, I still read the advice quite literally.

Great info Chainer.

You guys (people who gonna play barbs this season) might check this small "trick" that I posted on reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/Diablo/comments/40d29e/small_tip_for_faster_start_in_season_5/
It should help with much smoother start with MotE set. Good luck in S5!
thx guys

on which build are you referring to?
The FC build is what I was wondering about. 6IK/4RK is the build I am using. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Bloudd-1602/hero/70495406 that is the link to the character and build that I am working with.
