We agree with the general sentiment here that Immortal King’s 6pc bonus
needs an adjustment to perform more comparably to Wrath of the Wastes
Whirlwind builds. Sets/builds performing more comparably with each other
aligns with our general goal of build diversity, including at high-end
play. In the next PTR patch you will see the following change:

(6) Set Bonus
Increased damage bonus from 100% to 250%.
As it is, hardly anyone uses the six piece IK set, just the 4P paired
with other stuffs. Perhaps that’ll change with this buff coming in? And
yes, you’re free to point out that 6P buff was 500% during the last PTR
testing, before Blizzard cruelly stole it away, tucking it into the Mortick’s Bracers before they buried them both at sea.
maybe we will see a comeback of charge barb, 6 piece IK, 4 piece Charge, cubed ring of royal, furnace and vile wards, will be quiet tricky to spend fury tho

The potential build that happened before. Boulder Toss to instantly dump everything. Charge > Toss > Charge > Toss and Wrath was off CD.
The real question what weapon do you use? Probably Heart Slaughter just for more phys dmg if you cube furnace or maybe cube a diff weapon.
Though I don't know if it can beat the Slam set because of the bracers.
maybe it won't compare but at least it will be viable for SS and Hota builds, maybe not for pushing but for medium high greater rift, some of us want to play different builds
Dust devil is 2500% weapon damage, IK 6 piece is damage multiplier. Hota with smash rune is 640% weapon damage - if you use IK6 piece - would deal 640% X 3.5 = 2240% weapon damage.
I see a lot of potential with ik6 piece and it offers much more choices than wrath of the waste set.

IK still cannot compete with WW. Don't forget that WW get 40% damage reduction. WW can also keep WOTB up with zodiac. Not to mention about the speed and it's ability to skip tough packs.

I've been playing full Ik (with fury ancient shoulders, ancient HotA w
eapon, F&R, hellfire amu -98%crit dam, 10% crit, 700+ str and cheat death passive- and in cube Remorsless, T&T and CoE. Para 730+) for a while and i can't crit more than 3.5b with CoE on my element, normally no more than 1.4b... are u talking making 6-7b with altars and pylons or just your own s?? Cause i don't know where did u get that numbers...
I tried hota build with IK, managed an 56 grift with a few deaths, crits are not that high tho, but 1,7 - 2billion on normal mobs, alot more on rift boss and elites. Imo you need high life on hit and life pr fury spent to sustain dmg on higher grifts. I'm running with unity + ancient 50%dmgr and you can not facetank everything. Survivability without saccing dmg seems to be the biggest problem. I've seen a legit barb doing grift 63 on the leaderboard, but there is still many high lvl gems out in the play after the bug abuse.
Cubed: furnace, strongarm and unity
If it had more movability this could be an awesome spec. Still refreshingly fun.

That means that you are doing : no longer twice the ammount of damage, but 3.5 . This is huuuuge. Im guessing that the final version will be 200% .
I certainly hope it stays, I'll definitely play SS Barb next season if it does!

Boulder breaker with 60% call of the ancients damage with cubed hota hammer? or hota hammer with cubed furnace?
so u would play this as 6piece ik and 4 piece wrath then ? i have no interest in hota really or ss..

With Enforcer it really makes a difference.
Cubed: Furnace/CoE/Strongarms
200% Fire, 30% knock back, add additional 50% elite damage. It's quite straightforward.
