Nice thread. Just wanted to add my thoughts and excitement for this patch! And the changes seem quite favorable to WW barb, mainly the reduced health of RG and the possibility of a single target damage boosting gem. As we all know single target damage is the big bane of WW barb build.
Cube effects:
Weapon slot - There shouldnt be much other choice than cubing 50% elite damage furnace. And equipping IK 2h mace.
Jewellery - Ill be cubing Convention of elements for 200% element damage proc. And equipping rorg/unity.
armor - This will require some testing, but cubing pride of cassius for 6sec on ignore pain. Will also try the hexing pants damage.
This is what my build/gear set up will look like in perfect gear. (has 2.3 and cube effects functionality)
Works out roughly as just under 10million sheet dps and 93% damage reduction. ( whirlwind 40%, ignore pain 50%, call of the ancients 50%, Unity 50%).
**edit not sure if you're aware OP judging by wording on "Convention of Elements - One of the best dps boosts. Could try to get a 200% roll and ignore the other stats." but the legendary affix's consumed by the cube get their full effect. So you can put in a 150% and still have the 200% effect. This is why I see Furnace and convention of elements as musts for the WW barb build because the free 50% damage / 200% damage is just too good.

No I wasn't aware of that. I am not claiming to have any more idea about the subject than you guys do. Just wanted to brainstorm a little Barbarian specific.

Why not cube the RoRG? You can roll CHC and CHD on the Convention of elements, but you can't roll both on a RoRG. Even if that means you only get 190% elemental damage on your CoE, it's still better to cube the RoRG.
You can roll CHC and CHD on RoRG. Either way works really though, depends on what best ring you get. I thought rorg would be easier to farm than a 200% convention of elements ring.
You put inside the furnace or the for example ik boulder in order to have furnaces attributes into ik?
also almost the same question but with rings...if we put unitys power to rorg ring then will we benefit from the unitys attribute with the 50% damage reduction even thow we do not wear "excactly" the ring?
No. You extract an items power (the item is lost in the process) and you equip that power like a passive skill into a specific slot. You have 3 slots: weapons, armor and jewelery.
Lol thats just bad. I hope blizzard will remove it, because it will be mandetory for everyone. Gg
PTR patch notes today said that you will need more rift progress to complete a rift. That plus the eventual changes to RGs having less life will make it so killing non-elites will actually matter.
Then again, I am sounding like a Blizzard fanboy with rainbows in his eyes. Furnace will probably be the best choice for a lot of builds. Shard of Hatred is nice, but not that nice.
When i was on the PTR earlier, i dropped Cindercoat, Unity, and Furnace into the Cube.
Cindercoat only works for BK builds that run 10% Resource reduction on each weapon, along with on shoulders and gloves. at that point, you will no longer lose fury, and it can do to about torment 8.
For 6WW4IK, Thunder is probably going to be the way to go, running the new shoulders effect for fury regen, alongside either a furnace or Schaeffer's hammer with Unity or RoRG cubed.

You have to do all the bounties in each Act (1-5). You will receive 5 horadric cubes plus an extra one. All these cubes contain mats (5 different types).
You go to the cube. Add one of each 5 types of the special materials plus 5 death breaths and the item you want to destroy in the cube (squared 3x3 surface). Then you press the transmute button, confirm you want to destroy the item and done. Then open the list with the powers, find the one you extracted and choose with left-click. If everything went well, open the Details column in your inventory and at the very end you will see Kain's power list

Might be a noob question, but what makes shard of hatred better then Stalgard's Decimator? I still didn't find a furnace and Stalgard's seems to be doing more dmg then shard. My current setup is 5 wastes/3bk, RoRG, CoE, with unity/stalgard's/Fury of the ancients

Might work, especially if you want to stick with physical.
I did a search and didn't find it, but given it's unique effect, does anyone know if the Corrupted Ashbringer's effect can be added to the cube?
I heard Ashbringer doesn't work. Can't confirm though.
Yeah, I just re-watched the video no the front page showcasing the cube. It appears that all the possible items are listed in alphabetical order and when he clicked the list of possible weapons, there was no Corrupted Ashbringer listed :| Makes me a little sad. Oh well, my hunt for The Furnace continues.

Just could have something to do with PTR not having all the seasonal stuff? Did you check the tab in the video for other seasonal items?
I have some more detailed feedback from the PTR 2.3 experience. I have concluded on the following viable options for the Barb in the coming patch when it comes to Kanai's tube:
1) Furnace/Hexing Pants/Obsidian to be used in the CDR build with the perma Ignore Pain/WotB and of course with FnR combo (Solo/Party).
2) Furnace/Hexing/COE for full DPS build again with FnR combo (Solo/Party).
3) Furnace/Hexing/Unity full dPS (Solo).
4) I came down to this Tank/DPS build mainly for a party having strong DPS members other than the barb. That is: Furnace/Pride of Cassius/Obsidian. You will need a good (ancient if possible) String of Ears belt to stay alive and buff the rest the group with Ignore Pain and War Cry while being perma WotB. I will post the build later on Diablo fans.

Because the skeletons do holy damage, then it may not be considered a barbarian item as holy is not one of their elemental skill choices (physical, fire, cold, thunder).

does the items u want cube vanish after right ?
"Do you guys not have phones?"
ah interesting.. yeah i can go lightning but the fury problem is a pain so atleast thats solved then.
"Do you guys not have phones?"
Exactly what I was thinking. Which passives would you use with that setup?
No. You extract an items power (the item is lost in the process) and you equip that power like a passive skill into a specific slot. You have 3 slots: weapons, armor and jewelery.

Is there really no other weapon effect than Furnace?

Although, it is also not mentioned on this list (all the extractable affixes list google spreadsheet) so that's probably a no.
