Howdy fellors.
Im looking to start up an poisonnova necromancer soon. Any ideas on a build?
I dont think i made a poisonnova nec since years ago. And i forgot how bad they suck or how good they are.
For sure its goin to be maxin nova + its 2 synergies then what? Rest into skelys/skely mastery? Or skely magi? since i'll be using lower resists. or are magis too crappy to use.
I know skeleys are very good since ive made summoners lots of times before. ive also made multiple boners before so there out of the question.
Or what about rest of the points into firegolem?, since he does fire damage an would work sorta well (maybe) with lower resists.
And i never level my guy past 88 so i wont have that many points in the end, usally i go till lvl 80. Cept for my barb yesterday had to go till 84 so my stupid merc could wear andys hat.
And what gears?
i have a deaths web, trang gloves, enigma, homo shield, marrowalks, arachnid, sojs, shako, mara.
another question, does infinity stack with lower resists? i know conviction doesnt lower poison resists. but it infinity could maybe come in handy with skeley magi if i use them.
I remember I was able to make a summoner / poison nova necro I think I got to around 96 I can't even remember now, but it did do very well. I maxed the skeletal mages to create all the forms of magic damage, regular skeletons to create physical damage, and then maxed poison nova for the poison, and lastly fire golem for fire damage obviously. I also used Trangs set and I hardly ever died. Sucks to level though since you can't reset your skills...but I would suggest increasing the skeletons first to help with survivability. Anyway that's my two cents.

Hey man, you actually can reset your skills man. After you clear den the lady in town gives you the option to reset your skills/stats. And ya, when i start my necro im going to go all summoner skills skelly/mastery mainly with amp/corpse xplode. Then respec to poison later on.
you should max lower res too. infinity does lower fire res, and corpse explosion has a %fire dmg, besides, infinity is one of the best merc weps. insight is also good so u dont have to spam mana pots. psn nova takes a lot of mana.
my novamancer hits 13k nova with -60 res i think. its fun for pvp too

a hybrid novamancer shouldnt have the pts to max lr because ce should be maxed beforehand. but for pvp purposes i think u should try and get it as high as u can without sacrificing to much bone armour.

hey man, that bit of news just isnt true man.
you may have lower resists confused with conviction. conviction doesnt lower poison resists.
anyways im already getting bored of this game again. i think i'll take another break from it.
