I was thinking about tankazons, basically amazons that dont use bow, jav, or spear skills, and primarily pump other skills.
Some one tell me what the point is?
spend one point into a spear skill, and get your self some extra damage/ ability for godsakes, and stop playing such a boring build,
your going to be doing more damage using a skill any day, whats one skill point in impale? or something, beats normal attacks with a random weapon any day.
go play cookie cutter hammerdonks if u cant appreciate a little uniqueness in builds.
cookie cutter? ohhh the tank zons not a cookie cut character? pleeeease
even if its not, talk about boring, your going to use all passive skills, and what 1 summon? sounds reeeeeal fun.
Boring, you have nearly an entire tree for spears and javelins. Jab, Power Strike, Impale, Lightning Strike, there are plenty of non-passives to worry about. Shoot, if you got the synergies and were completely naked, you would be doing 7-2065 on Lightning Strike alone. Add in Lightning Fury for those runners and your summon and you are pretty much set.
think you missed the thread dude, were talking about those amazons that dont use any of those skills, and just run around with a flail or whatever weapon they get there hand on using normal attack, so they can pump passive skills.
an amazon is supposed to wield bows/xbows or javs/spears and what are the most common builds? glasscannons and cs javas. i rarely see spear zons or xbows. even more rarely see bearzons. d2 isnt exactly balanced well when it comes to items and skills.
boring is getting on your hammerdonk and spamming hams all over. or walk smiting, or spamming blizz around. if this is your idea of fun, i feel sorry for you because a bot can pretty much do those things.
but to each, his/her own. i find hybrids more fun that any single build.

Do you not get bored playing the same builds over and over again? This game has been out for 10 years, with the last big change being in 2005. I, for one, have played most of the builds that are extremely effective at pvm, so I like trying out weird builds.
Heck right now I am making a melee sorc just because I like sorceresses and have made pure fire, lightning and cold sorces before and have tried all sorts of hybrids.
Thing with melee sorcs, those can be decent with the right gear. "Tankazon" although I have no experience with, sound retarded crappy, and not fun. If unique = retarded, then yes, it is unique.
Melee sorceresses? Melee sorceresses can, if built right, put out cubic fuck loads of hurt. The main problem with melee sorceresses is that they get most of their damage from fire, of which there is alot of resistance or immunities.
Hmm its good to know that it can be a really good build. I've never tried one before and have only heard of them, but it sounded fun. Too bad I spent all my runes on the sorc, or I would have tried this tankazon because I think it sounds interesting.
But even if a tankazon is not very effective it still might be fun to people who like weird builds. It would have the benefit of being able to dodge pretty much every attack, so you could go with a 2 handed weapon with massive damage without worrying about block. And you could just laugh your ass of just standing in a horde of monsters dodging every attack, at least I would find that funny. Although that is purely speculation since I have never heard of this build before and I'm not sure how much damage you will be able to do or how often you would dodge.
Just remember, get the runeword Passion. It gives your sorceress zeal, which is awesome.
You may want to get a weak lightning attack though, for the fire immunes. And considering your main skill is Enchant, of which only has the warmth for a synergy, you should be able to get a decent lightning attack for the immunes.

Yeah, but like you were saying, absorb noobs rape them.
Yea, except I rarely played PvP in D2 so I don't know squat about PvP. Lol.
Dream can only be in helm and shield, so I can still use a passion weapon. I will probably use passion for most purposes, but I also want to see the max damage that I can get, so I won't use it for that.
I'm thinking about combining hoj and dragon to get level 30 holy fire. That in addition to enchant should help a lot. Although I should probably go with passion and fort or coh for most uses.

Edit: while they arnt viable in pvm, they can be fun in pvp.

Still, a very good damage build.

It could work, but you won't have the skill Zeal, which basically means you will just be pounding people with the generic melee attack.
