It's a good idea, but I'd rather not. Simply because I often remake my characters after I get specific items that make my spent points in stats not needed. My first Hammerdin, for instance, had 130 Strength or so. After getting my Enigma, and all the other things, I realized I only needed 55str, which would save a lot for Vitality. I would like to keep the flexibility of being able to recreate my characters without needing to get the armor all over again. If it were bound to the account, and not character, I'd like that more.

I agree with that and that is why many people have actually suggested that the items be bound to that account instead of just that character. I think it would have the same affect that Bliizzard is hoping for, while not limiting the use of the items to the people who found them. I like this idea better too!

I hate the idea of BoE with a passion. Diablo is a trading game. Plenty of different ways to stop D2JSP and Item selling sites. I hope this is not the answer they come up with. Cough "Anonymous trading system FTW" cough
