The atrociously small multiplayer battle.net interface.
I mean, the chat lobby is 4x larger than the games list, you had to make up some ridiculously shortened game names for people to understand what you meant(And often, they simply wouldn't understand right) like...
3hrs 4 75hoz
And then people would join, asking to show the 75% enhanced defence herald of zakarum, and showing 3hrs, but you are the one who want the HoZ for 3hrs...
Or to have more place, simply write '3hrs for script", and write more in the description, but then 10 people would join, asking you what is 'script'...
Anyway, I hated how short was the name lenght limit, and I dont even doubt they'll make it a lot longer for Battle.net 2.0
It was probably because of the 640x480(max 800x600) base resolution in the lobby that required this limitation... Just go and take a look at WarCarft3, the game names are 3-4times longer.
An easy fix would've been: When you click to join a game, the chat could be hidden, and then the game list could've been 3times larger...

If you can't amaze people with your intelligence, confuse them with your bullshit.

yea i hated and loathed this with all my heart, any time some dude did this to me i would ask them to meet me outside of town turn hostile and kill them, or atleast i tried (man those pple could run fast).
Anyways besides that i hated the whole stamina bar BS! cause it is completely pointless, why have stamina bar, cause in higher levels it would never run out, i just think its something that D3 could do w/o.
Also as i mentioned before my problems with trading: that is one other thing i hated about D2
I also hated the Tundra in act 5 just thinking about that place made me angry.

The one who makes it doesn't make it for himself. The one who buys it doesn't buy it for himself. The one who needs it doesn't know it when he needs it.
Honestly, I hated Act 3, and don't kill me, but I downloaded Hero Editor just so I could skip it. I loathed it with a flaming, burning, intense passion.

"Hey guys...don't you ever just...fall over...cuz ya know...the world is moving...and you're standing still?"
Losing XP when I died, that's the worst. Especially when I am killed by lag...
play hc! problem solved: in sc you lose xp when you die, in hc you gain xp
jk but like that saying.
my least favorite thing about d2 is that it is not maintained or policed, so that bugs and cheaters (people that use 3rd party programs) are allowed to persist.
i've gotten used to the bugs i wish they'd do more about the cheaters.

they'll never see me coming.. life is a sequence of tragedies, inconsistent only by fleeting, elusive moments of pleasure,
serving only to ensure absolute vulnerability to the pain of their inevitable absence.

I didn't like the downplaying of the horror element that was so pervasive in Diablo 1. I understood why it happened (larger environment) but knowing that didn't make me like it any better. Funnily enough though, my friend couldn't stand playing the game with the music on because it terrified him. To each their own then I guess.

pretty much the fact that there is a 0.000000000000000000000000000000001% to get a HR or good item. which means say goodbye to your life trying to find a SOJ
Am i the only one who like act 3??? well i did hate that i, no matter how many times i mfed, i could not find anything good! then when i got to hell, i didnt have good enough equipment, so i died quicker then a lvl 1 in stony field, normal. It's that bad, especially when there is no way to get higher resis.
Yeah I really don't understand why people have Act 3 so much. I think it's an interesting place. And first time around, I loved all the characters and dialogue from them. It was a great part in the story.

Back in the day I never played expansion. I only bought it for the increased resolution. LOD was washed out by a lot of stuff and made pvp so bland. I'm replaying d2 right now first time playing a paladin on expac (because classic only has 2500 players, lod has 36000) and those bots piss me off.

Act 2: Those stupid beetles and their lightning sparks.
Act 3: The annoying little pieces of shit that run around in skirts, either stabbing me or blowing darts at me.
Act 4: Having to search for Izual and kill him without dying to his Frost Nova.
Act 5: Trying to find the waypoints and dealing with the shitty Imps.
I hated a couple things in each act, to be honest.
