Diablo II did a lot of things better than Diablo I and I really enjoyed the story, but for some reason I enjoyed Diablo I much more.
The good king Leoric turned skeleton, the perversion of the prince, the butcher, the music, the dark atmosphere, I just loved that game. Or maybe it was the fact that I was only 10 when it came out, I don't know.
I'm hoping if there's a Diablo III, it has a darker feel to it like Diablo I did.
I loved Diablo1, in fact it was the Blizzard game that I have ever played. The ambience is so creepy, it makes the blood in your veins freeze. My only problem with this game is that,
1- It's short
2- You have to walk all the time, you can't even run after enemies you have to walk after them, and when you're a Warrior that can suck big time.
hmmm... i am 13 years old and i really hate bad graphics, diablo 1 didnt do much for me. All i did was walk into the first place you go and died. Diablo 2 was fun because it has better graphics. So i really didnt play diablo 1 but i still think i would have liked diablo 2 much better anyway.
It's unfortunate, that kids these days (speaking of like ages 8-16) generally only look at graphics in a game. When i was 9 (currently 17 going on 18) i watched my mom. .. . yeah, my mom. . .play Diablo I, and she beat the game before moving on to D2. Honestly i Loved the erie dark feeling of DI but the gameplay just wasnt such, I didn't mind the graphics, still dont havea problem with them, but D2 has just a little more playability. As of now i still havent beaten D1, getting there, dont have time, and i've been playing D2 since around 2002. I will say D2 wins it, but not by far, its kind-of-a 60:40 thing or maybe 75:25, either way, i love DI(but DII more. . . understand?)
