For questions like this, I highly recommend a program called ATMA. It's a program mostly used for Single Player, but it also has a built-in drop calculator. All you need to do is input the type of item you're looking for, the number of players in the game or party, and your total MF, then hit "Search." The program will calculate the odds of an item dropping for you, and will tell you which monsters to look for and in what difficulty.
So, for sake of an example, I put the Arreat's Face helmet you were looking for. These are some of the results for a single player game with absolutely no Magic Find:
1 : 4342795 Death Brigadier - (N) Halls of Anguish - {mlvl 63}
1 : 4342795 Flayer - (N) Halls of Anguish - {mlvl 63}
1 : 4342795 Night Lord - (N) Halls of Anguish - {mlvl 63}
1 : 4342795 Prowling Dead - (N) Halls of Anguish - {mlvl 63}
1 : 4342795 Returned - (N) Halls of Anguish - {mlvl 63}
1 : 4342795 Scarab - (N) Halls of Anguish - {mlvl 63}
1 : 4342795 Temple Guard - (N) Halls of Anguish - {mlvl 63}
1 : 4342795 Tomb Creeper - (N) Halls of Anguish - {mlvl 63}
1 : 4394428 Hell Bovine - [H] The Secret Cow Level - {mlvl 81}
1 : 4426224 Assailant - (N) Throne of Destruction - {mlvl 66}
1 : 4426224 Blood Boss - (N) Worldstone Keep Level 3 - {mlvl 66}
1 : 4426224 Carver - [H] Dark Wood - {mlvl 68}
So, that tells you that, out of 4,342,795 Magic Find runs in the Halls of Anguish (Nightmare difficulty), you have one chance of finding an Arreat's Face helmet from a Death Brigadier. Now, of course, that's with absolutely no Magic Find, and obviously your luck will have a lot to do with it.
As for the Breath of the Dying and Chains of Honor items you're looking for, you'll have to set ATMA to find the runes. To do this, set ATMA to the following:
Item Class: Miscellaneous
Item Quality: Base Item
Item Grade: Any
Item: [Rune]
Also, you can have ATMA calculate drops from any version between 1.07 and 1.11. Quite handy.

Which right there tells you how outright ridiculous the drops are. If you're playing singleplayer, forget about it, it's not going to happen. Ever.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

Yeah, tell me about it. I understand that Blizzard wants to encourage sharing and trading online, but it leaves people who play by themselves in the dust. I suppose the best you could hope for is a decent rare.

Can ATMA calculate Online drops? or only single player? Also, can you add in what your magic find is?
It's mostly meant for Single Player, but I'd imagine it works just as well for online play. And yes, there's a field where you can input your current MF percentage.

This drop calculator says that normal Diablo is the best place to find Mara's SoJ and even BK......
I think the idea behind the program is to give the user a better idea of where to search for specific items. In the example of Arreat's Face, most of the areas had monsters that were level 63 and over; obviously there were some exceptions, but your best luck would be to look in those types of areas.
I searched the items you listed, and here's what I got:
Mara's Kaleidoscope:
1 : 1303609 Ghost - [H] Drifter Cavern - {mlvl 84}
1 : 1303609 Ghost - [H] Halls of Vaught - {mlvl 84}
1 : 1303609 Strangler - [H] City of the Damned - {mlvl 84}
All of these drops are either in Hell (H) or Nightmare (N). Drops that show up in Normal don't list a difficulty (just look for the drop rate of any piece of Isenhart's set).
My results are probably different from yours also, because I have my MF set to zero.

People who play for themselves don't need all those flashy items anyway, at least not for Normal and Nightmare. Hell sometimes decides it wants to screw with you though...

What if a player just wants to level and get good gear so when end game comes they are set

Then you sure as hell don't need to worry about drop rates at all. Run through the game, level at Normal Baal and Nightmare Baal, run some bosses if you want to feel lucky, and that's basically it.

That wasnt for me my friend wanted to know im usualy am with a party but i was curious what does "total MF" mean?
It's the total percentage of Magic Find that you have from your gear and/or charms. Check each piece of your gear to see if it has the "X% Chance to Find Magic Items" mod, and then add each percentage together. That will be your total Magic Find.
Just be careful not to overload yourself with too much Magic Find; there's no point in sacrificing your killing speed just for the sake of finding items.
Aren't you supposed to have aroun 300-400 mf and anything more than that is just stupid?
Eventually it diminishes completely. After around 600 (660 or something like that I think) you get no bonuses anymore really. So that's the maximum you'll ever want to have. But as Requiem said, sacrificing killing speed for MF will result in a net loss of magic items. Since it takes longer to kill stuff, it takes longer for stuff to drop. And the less items that drop, the less likely you are of getting a drop that is good.

Yep. Speed is priority. 300-400 is usually around where the speed:mf ratio is balanced and reasonable. I had a sorc once that did 500 and was as fast as most others. In the end you want to be able to travel and kill quickly, that is the real goal of mfing. Having more mf doesn't mean better items.
Just kill stuff. If you can't handle Hell, do alot of Nightmare runs. You can probably get some good stuff there, and then you can simply trade for the items you want.

if u put on mf gear and do it, u have deacent changes of getting stuff
i got 2 gazes a shaft and quite a few other cool little things to drop form meph in nm with jsut a little over 200 mf in single player
also if u would like to increase ur chances in single player u can increase the way the game reads the number of players (I.e. makeing the game ahrder but with better drops and xp)
type /players # 2-8

That's what I did back in the day. I had like 250 mf and had a 800 dmg orb,and you know you cant hell solo with orb. So I did a LOT of nm Pindle runs.

Breath of the Dying Colossus Blade - (Ethereal) 400-414% ED
Arreats - its a helmet
String of ears - A belt
Raven frost & Nature's peace - both rings
Highlord's wrath - Amulet
Chains of honor - Armour
This would be of so much help im not sure if they have designated mob drops or if its just random.

The first one is a runeword, so you can't find it, same for the armor.
The rest are not very easy to find, except the belt. The belt I would say medium. Your best bet is to just mf everywhere in Hell.

Put it this way:
More monsters killed>more mf %
