I have noticed there is an 8 hour outage almost every Tuesday ( US Server ) and was wondering if anything will be done to avoid this such as adopting failover server architecture which allows staggered maintenance work to be carried out with minimal downtime.
As a purchaser of Diablo 3 and ROS, I expect outages to be kept to an absolute minimum which 8 hours is not.
If you are wondering why I am pointing at US servers whilst playing from Asia, it is because I cannot read korean or chinese which the Asia server only offers in terms of language support.
I've never understood this myself - practically every other online game in existence has updates and maintenance with little to no impact on server downtime and on varying days of the week, but for some reason Blizzard updates/maintenance require long down-times and only ever occur on Tuesdays.
I assume there's a good reason for this, I just don't know what that reason would be.

Don't expect them to stop.
