I use the Diablo fans Iphone app on a twice daily basis when im at work. (on my meal breaks obviously). The app for as long as I have been using it (since last year some time) has had "more features coming soon!"
Are there any plans to keep working on the app? Ill gladly pay $1-3 for the app if funding is an issue. The valuable news from the news section is just worth it alone and it just works so well for me when im at work.
Apart from that thanks for the app.
Harry.

Oh i didnt know that. Dunno why they put the disclamer on the bottom and yada yada. Bloody good bit of kit that app :-(
were there any specifics as to why it had to be taken down or was Activision just flexing muscle?
Well given the current smartphne market maybe the community here could chip in ideas so that a new app for iphone & android could be made in a way that wont cheese off the big wigs and let us touch base easily with the news, and some d3 tools and the likes.

They were asked to take it down by activision so no I don't think anything is planned currently.
This is correct. Sixen and I had to stop, and we're not sure if we will come back. Depends how open they will be once there is a community API and whatnot, assuming there is.
Activision just told Apple that if we didn't, they would force it. They didn't say why, but they weren't mean or anything. So we really don't know...

Well im happy to make a donation of time or $$$ when / if you can get the green light to forge on ahead with one. Great work on the one you had up, makes getting my D3 fix at smoko and lunch just that much easier.

I wasn't aware of the app and it's sad that it was forced off. It's even worse that there was no explanation.
Perhaps they're planning their own, or just marking their copyright and trademark territory.
Businesses usually have a kneejerk, no exceptions approach to anyone using their stuff which begins and ends with the legal team. The artists, programmers and writers of the material probably would have had no problem with it.
