Theres the list of ranks in case you don't feel like checking that poll, or only wanted the current ranks.
The numbers beside the ranks represent posts, basically meaning the ranks reward frequent-posters.

I've been wondering about this for the longest time: what are the ranks and how do you advance? Are they just there for show or do they show real progress? I'm not one of those guys who wants to be the top rank, I just want to know what it's all about.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

I'm curious, people always ask what the ranks do and what they are, but no one ever managed to find this sticky. Is it badly named? Badly placed?
Answer is no. No bonuses.
It is the answer to all things.
