Hey fellow diablo lovers, I started this thread to ask a simple question to the administrators of this forum : Mockery, Jetrall or Zoltrix. Not sure who can answer me but...
So, I've been reading some old news on IGN about diablo 3 when I stumbled upon an article about diablo3.com being acquired by Blizz. So I know you guys gave it away and that Blizz kindly decided to give some special priviledges to this community. I'm just curious to know what were these special gifts that were given to us since the domain got acquired.
P.S: You guys might wanna relocate this thread to the Site suggestion and questions, posted it in the wrong section
P.P.S: I spelled priviledge wrong it's privilege sorry about that... Moderators be advised
The only thing I know of is they posted a link on the Diablo3 home page of Diablofans.com. They took it down some time ago but it was quite a gift knowing that everytime someone visited Diablo3.com they would see our link.

After we gave the domain to blizzard we were promised to be apart of the fan site program if/when Diablo 3 was announced. And from that program we have been able to do the various contests that we have had on this site like giving away Blizzcon tickets etc
So to answer your question Diablofans was the very first site to be added to the fan site list
as far as information goes, I guess you guys don't get any exclusive bits of knowledge from blizz right?
Sometimes we can get little bits of tidbits, like swag which they ask us to give to the fans. or a heads up that there will be an announcement coming soon so get ready for it etc. just little stuff that like. but no, generally we don't get any exclusive bits of information.
That's cool another one...
Do you get the chance to talk to diablo team members such as artists, programmers, UI guys ... etc, via chatting or telephone interviews?
It also helps your chances of actually getting in contact with people in the business if you can say you're staff here. (At least, that's been my experience).

Seems MD was a prime example of that.

Oh, how I miss him.
I've seen him on other forums... but not ours...
Oh well. Perhaps he will return some day.
Best damn news reporter this site has ever seen.

He was pretty good. I see him on other forums also. I don't understand why he doesn't stop in for a hello once and a while.

Because the other company doesn't want him affiliated with us any more (seeing as how we are a competetive organization). That's like asking why Bill Gates doesn't head over to Apple headquarters just to say "hi" to Steve Jobbs.
Okay, did he say with who he was affiliated ? I'm curious to know who on the internet wants to be in competition with a non profitable, fan only online forum...
I'm not going to link to them because - as I already mentioned - they are a competitor site. If they wont share MD with us, then why should I help promote them by providing their name / a link to their site?

His contract doesn't allow him to post here.
It's just not allowed.
