Oh okay. I don't see how that icon resembles a balance though lol. It looks more like an upside down lightning bolt to me. I knew what it was though thanks to a mouse-over.
If we focused on this feature more often it might actually be useful.
Indeed. But since new boxes don't show up, it's really tedious for someone to mouse over every single user to see how credible they appear. Unless that's fixed, there's not much point to it.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.

I am not a fan of Jazz music.
on a good day.... Optimistic and freedom-loving Jovial
and good-humored Honest and straightforward
Intellectual and philosophical
On a bad day.... Blindly optimistic and careless
Irresponsible and superficial Tactless and restless
Prehaps we should look to making it so more than one box shows up. Would need to check the mechanics but I think it's possible.
Prehaps we could look to something more Diablo-esque. And accumulate Soulstones or something.
Having more than one picture is easier to note someone's repuatation at a glance.
But overall the system is largely pointless.
It's general purpose is to gauge someone's believability. Someone with a high reputation should be someone you can trust around here.
I think the whole system needs some looking into and time spent on it.
Some sites allow for post count to attribute to your reputation. I think its 1 point for every 20 posts. But that might not be something we want to do here, what with spammers and all.
And I think the system will need more purpose. If people actually want to use it, it is going to need to do more than simply gauge whether one is believeable or not.
Prehaps a higher reputation can grant you some sort of perk or something. Being able to use signatures or avatars might be too steep. But At least you would try work towards a higher or better reputation were that the case.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
You can't view your total reputation points, it really does not impact anything in the forums except (when you get a lot of positive reputation) when you hover your pointer over the green box under your avatar, the phrase may change. Usually it says "x member is on a distinguished road."
I use it just because I know people do check their reputation from time-to-time, and I like to tell them that I agree, disagree, etc. with their post without having to get caught up in the thread.
i think there was a question about that about a year ago and the reply was "nothing yet but we're thinking of ways to make it useful". Nothing new since then, though. Or at least i havent heared of it.
I searched "green box" and "distinguished road" both queries got nothing.
Hmm. I think you will become famous soon enough
Excuse my lack of enters...Spyware and all that...Sphicnter
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.

I did a search but couldn't find anything.
Thanks.

Thanks everyone.
That is where you are wrong Magi.
If you click the reputation button on your own post it shall tell you how many you have.
I have 12.....
you sure deserve some reputation for it, Jazz
*edit*
looks like you can view the reputation points from the user CP too. I only noticed the comments, not the points before.
