You two (goodguy and chaosdragon) need to stop bickering each other in normal threads. Make a PM and go flame each other in private until the end of time, I don't care. But no flood and offtopic on the forum, please. You are warned, I see this again, trouble awaits you.
--------------------------------
Yeh, I understand we could of stopped "bickering" each other in a normal thread. But I still, again, don't get the no off-topic thing. Everyone does it, yet I only see that the PM was sent to me and goodguy and that's all.
Every mod off-topics too. If I'm going to get warned over this, so should all the mods and members
I don't care if I do it more than others, obviously the mod doesn't even care about that, as I'm getting a warner, along with goodguy, and no one else. If people are only doing it a tiny bit, they should get warnings too, that's how it works, right? Flame a little bit = warning, flame excessively = most likely a temp ban, right?
I never see Elfen doing anything about user vs mod or mod vs user problems and the like. If he's an admin, he should be. I hope to see you post something helpful, Elfen.
If no off-topic was an announced and heavily looked over issue, and a proper one at that, as gay as it might be, then I should of saw me and goodguy getting a temp ban along with EVERYONE else in this forum (maybe some a temp ban too) including mods themselves a warning
P.S. - not asking for a temp ban

Private message, a message which is private
Did you consult the unnamed mod or even goodguy before making this thread?

I wouldnt be surprised (i would be happy) if that same mod closed this thread

That is a difficult issue, it's plum hard trying to defend a mod doing their job when the user is absolutely convinced that they are right and the mod is wrong, when in fact it's the other way around. And just even trying to explain things makes it worse. You are essentually talking to a brick wall. And said users cannot see any compromise nor are they even willing to try, the mod that "wronged" them has to go, that is the only logical course of action they can see.

I like what Elfen said but your comment Fudlow is complete idiotism... if that's even a word...

Most of your post did confuse me but I did like this part mainly.
I don't want the mod to go. Use to, but haven't for awhile. It's just, if we're going to get warnings, so should everyone else. It's like choosing 2 random birds to shoot, leaving the rest alone.

Unless you two were warned for something specific you two did/do that other don't, then such a warning is justified, or it's possibly you are just the first in a long list of user to be warned. Sadly you have to start somewhere or with someone.
Most of your post did confuse me but I did like this part mainly.
I had a IM convo a while back with a user who was upset that part of a thread got moved to it's own thread, for deeper, more meaningful and concertrated discussion. he couldn't nor was he willing to accept that a mod has every right to do that, I defended a mod's right to perform that action, and every time I explained it, I got told basically, nah nah your not listening nah nah nah.
Similar issues arise all the time. If a user is is wronged in their eyes by a mod, the mod must be wrong.
There is a little saying;
1. A moderator is always right.
2. If a moderator is wrong, see 1.
There is some truth to that, despite how that makes some people feel, and I can guarantee that will piss some people off.
And another issue that often arises if the questioning of a Moderators work, that cannot be done in a thread discussing music, television, video games, sports, or anything else other than MODERATION. Or better yet, PM the mod concerned.
If you have an issue with them take it to them, I'm trying to find out stuff about Diablo III, I don't want to read stuff like "Oi, you, mod put my post back!" or "Oi git, why you delete my post!".

We all get off topic sometimes. And we get disciplined for it if we don't catch ourselves. Often times, as far as I've seen, people catch themselves and get back on-topic before a mod even notices. And that's really a good thing imho. (Though what weight does my oppinion have? Lol...)
As for flaming, I've always thought that flaming is good, but I also feel that there is a time and a place for flaming. Whether it's privately or in what I've seen called a "Flame Thread" where people simply yell and curse at each other, simply for blowing off steam and what-not. (But again, what weight does my oppinion have? x.x Lol...)
No flaming (including: racial/sexual/religious/medical slurs)
"Flaming" basically means "insulting". So, posting something insulting directed at another member or group of members is a no-no. Insulting people based on their race or using racist words such as a derogatory term is not acceptable here. Insulting people based on their sexual preferences or using words such as "gay" or "fag" (etc) as derogatory terms is not acceptable here. Insulting people or using derogatory terms based on religious beliefs is not acceptable here. Insulting people based on their medical problems, or using words such as "spaz" (etc) is not acceptable here. Just figured I'd mention it, as we do intent to get off our fat cops asses and do some flame modding, one area in particular we are falling behind in.

It's a figure of speech. also a reference to a Futurama episode. Neither of the two cops in the scene are fat. One is a small skinny cop, the other is a robot.

The robot is buff, but I have a feeling he's supposed to represent the stereotype for African Americans from what I've seen of him. o.O
But that's niether here nor there.
And yea, I know it's a figure of speach, I was just pointing out that the figure of speach could also be considered "flaming". Then again, anything could be considered flaming with this politically correct bullshit going on today...
It implies their asses have become fat from sitting around not doing their jobs. Which I have infact been doing. To onlookers it might appear as though Equinox is the only moderator here, as the majority of my moderation is done behindthe scenes.

What I find odd is I post off-topic at least as much as Chaos, I even caused a need to split a thread a few times, and yet I never seem to be called out, never mind warned.
1st of all, I attempted handling this privately already. Secondly, me getting warned isn't exactly what I'm whining about. Learn to read fool.
And double post is not okay you idiot. Edit you lazy ass.
Re: Off-topic Warning... hmm...
I am lazy eh? You are the one that won't even refrain for posting off topic, so much that you get warned from a PM. Afaik that is a rare occurance (and according to your post, which i read btw. Horrible as it was) Either way, you're whining in a brand new thread. It doesnt really concern us since its your problem in the first place. Calling me a fool, lazy, ass, and idiot are just going to get you more warnings.
Don't people ever learn?
P.S. Flaming is not okay. Please refrain from using that type of language, thanks. *cough*

Now wouldn't that be a flame against cops?
(Mind you, I'm not a fan of cops either, least not American cops. (Understatement of the year. Lol...))

Take a hint. You go off topic a lot and the one time you get warned you whine about it?
-.-
Double post i know, sorry.
But in your reasoning, you should have a 999 ban by now.
