WOD? when ? i started playing wow since 2007, and stopped playing it a year ago, i dont have time to sit there raiding for 3-4 hours 3 days a week, i cant get good gears without raiding with ppl. but diablo is totally different, you can get godly gears soloing stuff, you dont have to raid with ppl.
i hit my pseudo wall on dh/wiz seasonal GRs so i stopped temporarily. I think I just need season 2 to immerse myself again and maybe launch with a different class
My F/L has been as active as ever. Pub games are always fast-filled and seem to be flourishing. I quit D3 no less than 10 times before RoS, anywhere from a few weeks to a few months at a time. Haven't stopped playing since RoS launch. The game is a superb offering in the ARPG genre IMO. It needs some semblance of real-time PvP/competition, which I expect to be part of the next xpac launch.
Sadly, I had to quit the (US) Dfans clan. Absolutely NO officer presence, the clan is in decay so I jumped ship to a new, very full, very active clan.
span>PS Bring back the RuneWords (1000 time i ask for it)
Preachin' to the choir, brother. However, that WILL NOT happen. Nor does it need to at this point. To that end, this game needs new item types, sorely. Missing are the minutia items and trinkets from D2. Charms, ethereal items, socketables (runes/jewels/gems) with the variation we had become accustomed to. We had about 50 different socketables in D2. D3 made a big step forward with Legendary gems, but this idea needs expanded upon drastically.
In the end, people like to tinker with shit, much in the way we knew with the Horadric cube. Having such dynamic manners of manipulating items really helps keep people engaged.
Speaking of the cube, being able to perhaps take three amethysts and make one topaz or emerald would absolutely make my month!
Is this unreasonable?
Well...they haven't exactly shown a desire to have that kind of dynamic item manipulation in D3. As a matter of fact, they totally dropped the ball when they had a chance to take things in that direction.
What I'm referring to is the shameful thing that happened to White items. When they first introduced leg crafting, I was excited about the direction I THOUGHT they were heading. I assumed that the quality of the White mattered when crafting. Thinking that if you had a +15% superior piece, it would roll into the craft. To my absolute horror, quality didn't matter at all. The quality was omitted entirely. As we all know, we don't even use the whites anymore because of the carebears who cried about having to find materials.
The above instance reflects the lack of desire from Blizz to have intricacies involved in our item manipulation. Instead, we just stand in front of a Mystic and tweak 1 stat line. A bit low-brow, if you ask me.

It's not because "the carebears who cried about having to find materials" it was because it's a stupid idea to begin with... Go look for white items that actually spawn in the hundreds in some area in act 5 and then fill your stash up with random items that you might some day craft but eventually throw away because you are running out of space because you have to horde a million of other legendaries in the hopes of them becoming useful one day because Blizzard changes skill balance and legendary affixes. See, the problem was not with the white items or legendary materials, it's with the whole inventory and stash space thing. It was retarded to keep it that way given the current system so they did a good job of removing it.
@OP: It's always been like this pretty much in every game but probably mainly in Diablo... Activity peaks on patch / xpac releases and then slowly fades then peaks again when new content is released. The only way to stay occupied with the game in my opinion is to play multiple classes and have friends to play with,

God damn this forum software is a fucking nightmare. Kill it with fire, it's total shit.
Anywho, I do believe they would be better served not watering down the game because they can't solve the stash issues. They offer a plethora of gears supposedly for a plethora of builds, 7 classes and a laughable stash size. Limiting gameplay dynamic due to their limited stash is nuklin' futs.
I would also offer up that if they want to water it down, steer 'em towards the consoles, PC is where all the content and intricacies have always been. It's why I play the PC versions of games in the first place. For more content.

Sadly, much of the reason for the "watering down" I fear is due to them wishing to keep the platforms reasonably inline. It makes for better porting from platform to platform, I suppose. Even still, I think the PC version comes out on top.

I agree. I have a handful of sets that are only missing a piece or two to complete across different classes. I don't want to kill some pieces from those sets in the event that I actually get some of those pieces to drop. The only option I have is to mule once my stash is full. We all know that using a mule is such a preferred solution...
2. do you think playing diablo 3 is getting boring lately?
3. i used to play everyday after work, but now i log on every 3-4 days and play for 30mins, what is wrong with me ?
