This is a suggestion as much as a feedback thread on greater rifts structure.
As many other like me i'm playing firebird atm, not because i like fire or it's my favourite set/gameplay, but because it can go almost 10 levels higher than my favourite (arcane) build, thus upgrading my gems to a rank alot higher.
The main reason seems to be because of the necessity to beat a timer while keep moving and the fabled conduit pylon after gr40.
Something will be done obviously and the removal of pylons seems to be common sense for season 2, but what about diversity? i know new legendaries will be introduced, but even if lightning becomes viable what about cold or arcane or dh's non m6 etc etc.
What about a simple change to the timer, increase it to 20 or 25 mins, but each death removes 1min from the timer, that would make alot more builds able to clear the same grifts and the really op ones would still go to the leaderboards because they would beat the timer faster, and with the pylon removal it would be alot more balanced, fire clears faster but dies some times, cold clears slower but does not die due to cc, tanky stats would be more valuable and everybody would not be pigeonholed into zdps wd + monk + dh to progress past a certain point.
TLDR: Increase grift timer to 20/25mins but remove 1min for each death.

Interesting feedback, question what about HC. They don't have the privilege of dying and respawning?
It could be done, but the way i see it HC is a choice and this change would allow an HC char to equip a bit more defensively,
so to keep HC really HardCore i think that if you die... well, you die. ^^

I think they actually only spending 5 % of their time on reaper of souls and 95 % of their time on the next exspansion 2015(my guess). If they really wanted, then the balance was already implemented in the 2.1.
You might actually be right, but those 5% of their time would be enough for this change.
On a more serious note, we will have multiple seasons before the next xpack, which means balance changes and new legendaries, 5% would not cover that.
