Sick to death of how every highly rated build guide requires me to have 1 to 10 or so specific legendaries that add specific bonuses to skills. What ends up happening is I have to use random skills and passives I pick when leveling and just hoping I made a good choice. Noone seems to make this type of guide so until I spend a few thousand hours at max level farming with my skills I chose and get all those legendaries most popular guides that exist are useless and since what I want is unpopular guides I have no idea if the builds are any good for a fresh 70 or someone leveling or if they are unpopular cause they suck no matter what.
Suggested the feature for the builds section of diablofans to have an option to only list guides that don't have any gear labeled as required but they misunderstood that I meant the feature they have where you can add a legendary and it excludes all builds with that legendary even listed. Trouble with that is for someone with 0 legendaries they have to add every legendary in the game to the list of exclusions 1 by 1 and all that would do is say 0 builds exist since theres a difference between recommended and required. Sadly since my suggestion was misunderstood its basically not likely to happen and i'm left with a list of builds that suck because I don't have the legendary that makes it viable.
This is my type of build I would make using demon hunter for the example. Instead of rapid fire I might use Multi shot with Fire at Will for trash and just use rapid fire on bosses.
To me this looks like a good build but I have alot of people telling me that rapid fire is *beep*?
So yeah does anyone have some guides for each class for people who just hit 70 and only have blues and rares?
When 2.1 came out I took my level 58 demon hunter that I haven't played since 1.6, and in 5 days got full marauders, tasker and theo's, a good SoJ, a decent amulet, a very good kridershot, a very good buriza, and a very good bombadier's rucksack. It really doesn't that that long to get the legendaries that the guides require.
As for fresh 70 builds, it really doesn't matter. Use skills that you like, copy the max gear builds as best you can, it doesn't matter. Just have fun with what you are doing. Just do rifts and gamble, you will get gear soon enough.

Hmm I remember a thread on the d3 forums of the maths behind legendaries that calculated the chance of getting a certain legendarie at 1000 hours on average just to get a specific legendarie not a good one but just that specific drop and that to get a set would be like 50000 unless you got extremely lucky. Mind you this was ages ago before the expansion when they were working out how to get sets without the auction house. Guess that kinda spooked me and its not that bad xD

Preach it!!
I decided to play a class I don't normally play for each season, for S1 I chose barbarian. The other night I ended up disgusted with pretty much every D3 site I could find. There were no builds that didn't require a thousand hours of farming for specific legendaries.
If you've farmed long enough to get that full leapquake set...I would hope you would already know the build.
Of course, most of the people using these uber builds really don't know how to play them, just abused the hell out of RIF until it was taken out back and shot.

Obnoxius much ?
Just because you are the luckiest person alive. Doesnt that mean the game is easy to gear up in. Ive played my DH for atleast 5 hours a day for close to a month. I just barely got my marauder set. Really wank rolled. And the best weapon ive got is a frikking Cluckeye. And thats with t6 rifting nonstop for 5-6 hours a day (being unemployed. i dont do much else than playing)

Been playing since ros release on my DH , I can't even say how many shards I spent on rucksack , never mind the hours I put into finding one and I still don't have one , so your sweeping statement of "it really doesn't "take" that long to get the legendaries that the guides require" is a bit reaching. I have just got my first Calamity and that was seasons , RNG or should I say , luck ..
I also never had a Kridershot , a Wand of Woh , a T&T , an SMK and the list goes on , so no , it's not "easy" to get these bis items that the guides say you need . Because 1 person in every 100,000 has so much luck , because thats all it boils down to "luck" , it doesn't mean we all have it .
Noxxic.com is a decent place to check for builds for fresh 70s. They separate builds by elemental damage, so if you have some stacked, you could see if they have a build that fits you. The site does have its critics and the elitist would be quick to talk trash, but I think its a good place to start if you just hit 70. They even have recommended builds to use when you're leveling.

How many hundreds / thousands of RIF rifts?
