Finally! Thank you Blizzard! For me it's a great improvement of my Diablo 3 playing. Endlessly farming the same Act and areas made me want to quit playing the game for a while. But now it's going to be more fun again!
What do you think of the new droprate? EDIT: About the drop rate: "chance of legendary from bounty cache goes from ~50% at torment 2 to guaranteed at torment 6."
Sure some people enjoy farming RoRG, but getting shoehorned into doing it once per character per season just wasn't a winning formula with the current drop rates. I'm not a big fan of the huge drop rates, but as far as I'm concerned, it's a necessary evil as the alternative is significantly worse. On the upside it makes attaining certain items (Illusory Boots, I am looking squarely at you) much more reasonable... and that's a good thing.

EDIT
5 T6 caches, 5 legendaries so far
I agree with you fully. I think that given the (now) old style of RoRG farming, it was very poorly thought out. That ring is a mandatory item for the majority of classes and builds, having it be so highly left up to being so very random from one specific thing is crazy. I haven't farmed as many bounties as others, but I believe I have farmed about 500-550 bounties now (between 100-110 caches so far) and have not seen a ring drop.
The old rate was terrible but the buff is insane. We were doing ~4min a1 t6 split farm earlier and got a couple greed realms to boot. Any bounty loot you want is now thrown in piles at you.
I think they went a bit too far. Until yesterday, cache legendaries had the same drop rate on Normal as on T6. That was stupid, as it encouraged Normal split farm bounties. Now cache legendaries are free hand outs for players who can farm T6, which is only the minority. What this change does is make bounties and RoRG farming a cakewalk for any well-geared player and only a small change for low-Torment or sub-Torment players (and believe it or not, those are the majority of players). I think having a significant buff would've been nice, something *noticeable*, but 100%... is a bit too much. But it's just my opinion. I mean, I welcome the change and will farm perfect RoRGs for all classes/specs and then farm other cache legendaries (Illusory Boots, Gloves of Worship which I've never gotten) but I think it's like the Kadala/set item buff - just a bit too much.
I will farm this in T6 just to be sure to get a drop everytime. Would even be possible to split farm some (all?) bounties in T6. Great news! I've been wanting to get two new RoRGs - for my Sader and Wiz, but knowing that it might take about forever to get a good one had made me wait. Too boring. But now - totally the opposite. A wise choice IMHO from Blizzard. And also the extra chance on T2+ to get extra legendadaries.
What do you think of the new droprate?
EDIT: About the drop rate: "chance of legendary from bounty cache goes from ~50% at torment 2 to guaranteed at torment 6."
As Bagstone pointed out, they might have gone a bit too far. I'll farm a couple good RoRG and illusory boots/gloves of worship, but I expect the drop rate will be nerfed sooner rather than later.
Do you think the change will stay and continue to be 100% cache leg chance at T6?
I'm afraid so. In my opinion the first thing where they went "too far" was the set item at Kadala change; I liked that there was a *chance* of not being able to complete a set. Pursuing a goal that you might never reach is more rewarding to me than a goal that I know I will definitely reach, the question is just how long it takes. It's the same with RoRG; now I know I'll get a socket RoRG sooner or later, just a matter of time. Takes a bit of the fun and long-term enjoyment from me. But well, it seems based on this thread and Reddit/official forum replies I'm the only one, so I guess most people are fine.
It'll stay, I'm 100% sure. Although I think, again, it's too much.
What they need to do is just get rid o RORG. Make some sort of legendary enchant that can be placed on...(some item?). I vote shoulders that can hold these enchants and to make them interesting cause shoulders are boring as hell. That way a RORG isn't ALWAYS needed. I want to use other rings...but I can't cause an SOJ is already mandatory.
It all feels a bit stupid to me. I mean there are people that put in months of farming or just good luck and all of a sudden this item you worked hard for is being hand out like flyers in a shopping mall.
Ooh, I don't mind that. I like that some of my more casual player friends will get their ring now as well, so that's nice. What I think might be a problem is the fact that in a few days you'll have all the cache legendaries you want and bounties will be a completely annoying hassle with absolutely zero incentive, but you need to do them for rifts/GRs.
Too bad I won't be able to use them because I'm down to ZERO Topazes (1k+ of every other color). They really should do something about this imbalance that is caused by both the RoRG and Unity requiring Topazes to reroll. That should require neutral gems (Diamonds or Amethysts) so that no class gets into such a situation.

Basically this. I agree that a buff to drop chance was needed since i can easily splitfarm T6 with my main and a couple of friends, and even at that level the chances were too low.
Anyway, turning the switch to full throttle is not a solution. First, you get guaranteed legendaries/shards; second, you make doing bounties less and less worth because it takes significantly less time to get the items you need from them. A 50% drop chance at T6 would ave been enough with 5% decreases for every level.
EDIT: i think they just made it to cover the fact RoRG is a mandatory item for every conceivable character. This way everyone has his ring in an easy way.

Either way, this is good for the game. Makes bounties more desirable. I've done 6 runs on t6 HC and I'm 6/6 on leg drops (no rorg yet).
