i dont know what is your goal with this topic, but i think it is a really good idea to leave Adventure Mode open to new season. I played the campaign 10+ times and dont feel like doing it all over again (rushing).
On a side note, i hope blizzard fix some bounties that were OP for lvling.
I'm completely missing the part where they took out the campaign and you could no longer do it in seasons or.... are you choosing not to do it and instead doing adventure mode.
It sounds much like the later and honestly like everyone else is saying here we have played the campaign easily 10+ times each especially players who played more during launch to get through normal/nightmare/hell/inferno on multiple classes. I really don't want to be forced in doing it again.
It was well known that you would be able to farm specific bounties on Torment 6 difficulty for the fastest levelling experience. That's exactly what happened too.
Bashiok - Blizzard Representative - 08/01/2011 -"So how many skill combinations are there now? Well taking into account 6 active skills, all the rune combinations, and 3 passives we currently expect each class to have roughly 2,285,814,795,264 different build combinations."
"Hey, I thought you'd like the witty irony of grub-on-glowie violence!"
In fact they are pretty wise, because they know how shitty the campaign is and that nobody/few players would want to go over that again another time.
If adventure mode wouldn't be open I wouldn't even dare to play seasons.. and I'm sure most players would agree.
You pretty much hit it on the nail there.
I don't see it to be much of an issue OP. Even if we didn't have adventure mode to start off with, you'd still be getting people hitting 70 super quick anyway.
If how fast people were leveling was really an issue they would have kept seasons exclusive to solo play. That way everyone is on the same level. But because coop exists, you're always going to get huge variability in players levels. There'll be a big difference in levels between those who choose to play solo and those who choose to play 2/3/4 player coop.
I think the duration of the seasons wouldn't really cause this to be an issue anyway. There's more than enough time to get to 70 and start rifting/G rifting/ farming.
If the seasons were shorter however, it could very well have been a different story.

I am not expecting to be the fasted to max level or to compete in the top ranks of the other seasonal content in the game, but the way these players are achieving these things is a complete joke. Killing monsters should be the most efficient way to gain XP while leveling in seasons in my opinion. I understand that Hardcore basically mitigates these types of exploits, but by that logic we would all be forced to play hardcore if we want a legit experience. Overall, I am really disappointed with the implementation of seasons. Give more XP for massacres and have this bonus scale with difficulty or something. Quest rewards scaling with difficulty is pointless in seasons. This is basically the same leveling experience as non-seasonal play.

Yeah there should definitely be an improvement on xp bonuses on massacres and xp gain on gear. Perhaps if they gave you a %xp bonus (varying on the massacre of course.) rather than the tiny amount of xp they give now it wouldn't make them feel so pointless at higher levels.

I love the fact that adventure mode is open to the start of seasons, thank GOD I don't have to play through the damn story a 42nd time.
And yes OP, I'm sure Blizz is 'soooooooooooo' embarrassed because some people took less than 2 hours till 70. My buddies and I have just been running bounties and rifts, and we're lvl 50 in 4 hours. It's completely OK that leveling is quick.
I do think they should have made you start completely from scratch for a new season. It feels odd to have 95% of the things reset, and the last 5% not.
P.S. They screwed up on the stash as well. Currently, I have 4 open tabs already unlocked. This happened on season 1 of PTR, but not season 2, where I need to unlock all stash tab from scratch. I presume it is a bug that was improperly fixed on live.
I was just poking fun. He is quite the annoying boss!
If I were to actually answer that question though, I would have to say Azmodan before his fight was changed. The mechanics were just a nightmare sometimes. Pools stacking on one another, those damn meteors hitting like a truck late in the fight......actually those two mechanics right that were probably the worst of that fight.

So, your surprised that when competing for world firsts people aren't using 100% legit means?
When all the world firsts are soaked up, people have got over there "fresh start" and they realize playing season is no different to non-season (bar a few season-only legs) they will all just go back to non-season because they have more paragon/gear there.
I mean seriously, give me one reason to play season after the first week when your paragon ~100 and have badly rolled versions of your sets. Competition on ladder? I would rather do it on non-season because at-least there my gear isn't miles behind people they are playing 12hrs a day.

Point is, why play at all on non-season when you already got all your well-rolled sets? I'm playing Seasons now (very casually) just because I again have a sense of progression.
I guess if your really at the point where each slot is well rolled, then there wouldn't be much of a reason... But i've never been a new-game type, I see no reasoning to just repeating everything you've already done.

1hr 40min to the first level 70.
Yes I know "levels don't matter"
Of course we know all the other things these players do will be completely legitimate.
On a side note, i hope blizzard fix some bounties that were OP for lvling.
They completely undermined that when they left adventure mode open...even more so when they knew about the leveling exploits that would be used.

3 hrs 50 minutes after season started.
I'm sure them killing the hardest boss on the hardest difficulty was completely legit too.
I can't wait to here the defenders.
