I played the first console release, and there was an immediate deal breaker for me; Loot rained from the sky. It was a legendary every 5 minutes, and according to Blizzard that's intentional since the majority of console players are more 'casual', in terms of how committed they stay to one game.
It was fun at first, but quickly became boring. The awesome legendary beam turned to 'meh', and I think I got one toon to 60 before going back to PC.
The reason it was the way it was is because on console everything binds to your account like pc does now. And console drops are essentially the same as pc now. I will be playing console and am looking for friends for the nemesis system
No one really "moves" to console because it can't really replace the b.net experience on the pc. I did play d3 vanilla on ps3 with 3 friends. We had weekly sessions and it was great. I might get UEE and try to get the group together again but it will only be for a month or two and then provbably back to d3 pc full time.

We only have each other as friends that play the game, so the gifts drop for ourselves only. Anyone know if the rate increases per friend or how that works?
Yeah haven't had a nemesis monster yet, and at level 50, would like some for the drops
I remember enjoying the console version of vanilla D3 way more than the PC but the devs rarely supported the game through patches including additional content. I expect the same treatment for Ultimate Evil. But maybe it's a good time killer until 2.1 goes live.

I really enjoy D3, and on console my wife will be playing local co-op, she's not much of a PC gamer
I do like hardcore, but we will be playing softcore. My plan is to keep playing Hardcore on the PC
Anyone else moving to console for friends or anything? It a slight bummer starting over, and not even for season.
I have not played it on console as of yet, but I hope there are no deal breakers
