simple. you didnt help with the elite kill, instead took off and left 3 other people behind.. to top it all off, you didnt say anything about the exit, just assumed people would be okay with it.... making it seem that you want to play by yourself.
would hit accept if the kick came up.
Ive only been in one pug where a player was kicked and it was pretty much for the above behavior. It was a T1 rift, 3 of us were below 150 Paragon, but some tool was E-peenagon 500+ and was blowing way ahead of us and ignoring any party chat so yeah we booted his ass. But I run practically all pug and that is the only group kick I recall and the tool bag deserved it.
I love this type of attitude.
You're clearly a sandbag if he's blowing through ahead of you, so instead of being greatful for the free drops/xp you go full autist mode and kick him because 'm-muh pride'.
Pathetic.
My understanding of the depicted events is that there would have been few, if any "free drops/exp". When a mob is killed, loot is dropped only for players within its range at the time of kill. Since the 1 member who is killing all of the elites would be way off in the distance, the other 3 members would receive nothing. If I have misunderstood the explanation of the events, and the entire party was in fact receiving drops and exp, then I would tend to agree that the party should be grateful for the easy run.
As for the OP's situation (hypothetically assuming that he ran ahead of the group, which is unconfirmed), this is more acceptable because he opened a rift for the party. Although it may be inconvenient for the rest of the party, they can always teleport to the next elite encounter (or when they notice some distance between themselves and the leading player). This would mean that there is still some chance for the items to drop for them.
From my own personal experience, I find that public games are on the decline. Frankly, I find it more preferable to play solo than to play public, as this way I can play at my own pace, without the hassle of being kicked for speeding ahead. It used to be that someone would lead, and the others would follow. Nowadays it seems more like everybody is running around like a headless chook. I expect this has occurred as a result of the more organized players moving to community/clan/FL runs. My advice (just like everyone else) is to join a clan and some communities, team with evenly skilled players, and run with them for future groups.
to tell you the truth ,mate , you can be kicked either been so good or so bad ,i got kicked twice coz i was SCing + soloing entire level without them catching up with me, they told me to slow down and i told them to fuk off so i got kicked .
and 1 rift was so funny that the guy who opened the rift told me to slow down or be kicked out , blow are our chats
the guy: can you slow down plz ? and kill the trash ?
me: no ,you are wasting time
the guy: i opened the rift so start listen
me : kick me if you want
the guy: i wouldnt wantthat
me: that's how high end farmings work ,so shut and and speed this shit up
the guy: .................
and i wasnt kicked but the guy left straight away after i talked to orek
me : lol
you are just been so good running forward killing shit ,nothing wrong with you ,my friend .just keep doing what you do and tell those people either to speed farm or fuk off .
I wouldnt worry about pubs, they still do full clears on rifts, even with good groups, Its like really? Are you that hard up for keystones? Just saying if you dont have a lot of keystones you probably leeching or gearing up for a class you have no idea how to play.
Not anyone here, just pubbies in general, just tried to run a few and was shakin my head at them doing a fresh map with anarchs/angels/meteor guys after the boss was dead.
Although I understand the concept of public games, I never enter them. I have my reasons (some obvious, some not so obvious), but there are options in the public games screen that you can use. There are those who tend to abuse the system, however. There is a way to report a player, but I've never used it.
I like the idea of public games, you certainly meet some interesting characters. I've met quite a few nice people who I've continued to play with long after the game we met in. But in saying that I've met a fair share of nasty players.
I guess the best way to prevent being kicked is to just play in private lobbies. As much as it may suck (that's entirely opinion based) you won't have to put up with the idiots that just join the game and kick straight after you've opened a rift.

The only two reasons I'll usually want to kick someone is either there are AFK too long or not playing with the team. I can't stand people that run ahead not killing anything themselves just leaving them for the rest of the group to worry about. Meanwhile they are far ahead engaging elites and goblins and the other players cant even make it to them in time because of all the mobs they ran past.
The guy was asked several times to slow down, he was clearly there to farm ahead of us using us extra players as just a tool for himself. Yeah the guy was a douchebag. There are no free drops when the offending party is that far ahead.
I dont play for free drops, I play to have fun, lol I should be grateful for an asshole ruining my gaming experience.
I hate your kind of epeen attitude
