IMO the damn thing was brain-damaged to start with, mainly because it applies to all sets that you're currently wearing. Ideally, it'd only apply to one set at a time, but there's really no elegant way for the player to choose which set it should apply to. IMO they should just retcon the affix out of existence... at which point their numbers will show that only 6 people and a single incredibly smart parrot are still doing bounties.
And how would you get rift keys without running bounties ?
And why crank it up torment levels to get the ring , aren't you adding more drops to the pool ? I have 15 RoRG's now , all from fast running normal bounties .
Your not adding more drops, only so many things can come from a cache. You increase cache legendary drop rate with increased difficulty.
Do you have a source which shows that legendaries from caches (any non-cache leg) will drop separate to a cache-only legendary (i.e. you have a chance from a given cache to gain 2 legs, 1 cache-only, and 1 non-cache)?
I have not come across any caches yet which have dropped 2 legendaries at once, regardless of difficulty.
In the event that all cache and non-cache drops are held in the cache drop table and all "compete" for 1 slot (max of 1 leg per cache), this would mean that sliding difficulty from non-T up to Tx could potentially reduce your chances to receive a RoRG from an A1 cache.
Note: The increase in legendary drop chance (from difficulty) for a cache would also need to be evaluated, so that larger loot table values (more total legendaries) can be played off against chances to receive any 1 of those loots.
I am not suggesting that Aurpona's post is incorrect, I am simply asking for a source to confirm it.

You are adding torment only drops to the pool , I have had drops other than cache only drops from caches .
Quote from a blue "It should also be said though, that while Torment-only items can drop from Torment I Horadric Caches as well, the actual bonus chance for legendary items dropping from Horadric Caches starts at Torment II and above."

I have had a double legendary drop , in fact the last RoRG that dropped a few days ago , a bracer also dropped from the same cache . And they weren't sanguinary vambraces .
As most of you have said the RoRG problemis indeed a tough nut to crack.
However there are many possible solutions which currently the first 1 that comes to mind with most ppl is adding it to the hellfire ring and by thathitting 2 birds with 1 stone:
1) It gives ppl a reason to start using Hellfire ring which became complete garbage with the release of RoS.
2) Will give players another option other then a RoRG to get the bonus(in my opinion we should have both rings with the bonus in gameto allow more variety of farming the reduction bonus, however as I said in my first post the bonuses mustn't stack)
Another guy here posted about giving the bonus as something akin to an achievement reward when hitting paragon lvl 800 which is a great idea(also considering the fact that when a guy reached lvl 800, he kinda reached somewhat of a dead-end when it comes to gearing, therefore giving lvl 800 a new start by being able to instantly replace 1 item to try different things and new combinations which weren't available because of the necessity of the ring).
Keep on giving your opinions and ideas and that way we might make blizzard do something about that ring by adding something new to the game with those ideas
Why not just create a whole bunch of other Leg items with that same affix (and make it non-cumulative obviously)? That way the ability will still be a 'must have' but there will be a bunch more ways to get it, leading to a greater variety in gear used, a greater variety in runs you can do to try and get it and less chance of having your character completely gimped by having the misfortune of not having it at all.
More legs with the set affix would allow for more diversity, although in most slots it would be pointless (no point in a helm, chest, shoulder, gloves, pants, or boots having this affix). Bracers already have numerous legendary affixes which are used for build support (ancient parthan defenders, reaper's wraps, strongarm bracers, lacuni prowlers), and this would make bracer a bad choice for set reduction slot. Many builds are centered around a weapon or shield, and those which are not, do not use offhands; this would limit the availability of such an item. This leaves only 3 slots available for the set-reduction item; ring, amulet and belt. Obviously we already have the ring, as for the other 2 slots, I think an amulet would be a nice addition, as it would not affect many set bonuses. A belt on the other hand would cut into 3 sets (tal rasha's, immortal king's, and inna's).
I would be prepared to accept the addition of an amulet (so that there is a ring and an ammy with the affix). Alternatively, my other suggestions stand (post #17). I would personally prefer to see the achievement reward/paragon implementation, purely because it provides added diversity to end-game players, without removing the current options we have.
