Even the most delusional person knows that 2.1 isn't going to be live in two weeks. So, unless you're DELUSIONAL, I'm not sure why you keep trying to explain "hope" to me. It's like wishing for a unicorn for your birthday knowing full well that you won't get it and then yelling at people who say "unicorns don't exist."

I don't even try to guess when Blizzard will release things. I learned in my WoW years that patches and updates show up when they start downloading, and not before. Getting wound up about update X or Y to be next week or two weeks from now is just asking for trouble, imo!
I'm leaning more towards 3 months than 2. It's been a couple weeks already and they haven't even started implementing and testing Seasons/Ladders.
Let alone balance classes, sets/legendaries/items, new seasonal Legendaries (so they're actually useful), Greater Rifts.
There's SO much to be done before even talking about "live", and that can be seen by what's currently on the PTR - how short-sighted some of the changes were for classe and item balancing.

Yea same. At first I would have guessed MAYBE two months, but considering the front page just outlined another TBA PTR patch that doesn't even include seasons atm, yea probably 3+ months out.

Starting to agree. I expected 2.1 in August. Looking like September now.
they gonna lose a whole lot of players if they intend to implement 2.1. in 3+ months.
I mean at this point there is little to do in the game, not even farming keys/ubers for hellfire amulet can keep you occupied for that long. 2 months - sure, since it's already been 2 weeks but not 3 or more months especially since farming for any more improvements to the gear you already have is kinda pointless due to upcoming gear changes and upgrades that require refarming anyway.
They're not gonna "rush" such a huge and important content patch just to "keep players occupied".
Those who have played 1k hours in the first couple months of the game can boast that they've done almost everything there is to do, and might as well just take a break. Or they can help make sure 2.1 will be "finely tuned" by extensively testing it an providing feedback with all their free time. The rest (90%+?) of the playerbase can keep playing the game and still not be done with it in 3~ months.
Either way, I don't think they'll rush it and risk damaging the image of the franchise even more, as the AH did. I believe the focus is to have everything as "spot on" as possible. I'd love to see 2.1 in a month or two, but I just don't think it's even remotely possible. I'd be even willing to bet on a release date near Blizzcon.

Blizzard doesn't owe you anything. There's no monthly subscription, and they have no obligation to provide you with new content to 'keep you occupied'. If you're that bored, there are plenty of other games for you to play.
I think bagstone has a very conservative estimate but he's right on the reasons why. I say at least a month away, tops 2 months. Seasons and jewels haven't even been implemented yet so there's still a lot of testing and tuning that has to be done.
3 months minimum - this isn't about just releasing a major patch (which normally takes 6 weeks) but also releasing a new product to console - your looking at 3 months MINIMUM to avoid any business conflict with the console sales
3 months is WAAAAYYY too long, i hope it will come mid july, or at least start of august, cause waiting more longer is stupid. PTR will last as long as start of ROS till now, and people will start getting angry cause it isnt here yet.
I have seen people quit this game (and others) because the patches were to far apart.
And for those people the difference between 4 months and 2 1/2 months probably won't be enough anyway.
People who quit because patches aren't "fast enough" wouldn't be happy with a new patch every six hours. This community manages to find things to bitch about no matter what.
I would love to have faster patches, but i can live without Diablo 3 for a couple of months if i'm bored of the current content. I guess the world is falling and this franchise is dead... totally. (should i add a kappa or sarcasm tag to make sure i'm not meaning what i wrote seriously?)
That was my statement, not sure whats wrong with you.
Wow, ignore really works here, you dont see the usual msg with "click here if you wanna view their post". Excellent forum tools.

Check back in 2 months
