Hey you guys, made a quick video explaining how to be involved in the Rift it Forward community Rift It Forward Guide
For those who like to read instead, here we go.
Rift it forward is a community that aims to be a win win situation for all involved. There are 2 groups, Runners, and Openers. The runners are people who clear rifts in their own game solo, when they reach the rift boss they call in people from the community and all kill the boss together, everyone gets loot and xp/gold from the rift. Then one of the 3 who joined will open the rift for the runner, so he can do another rift, for free.
The openers win because only 1 of you actually has to open the rift, so there is a 66% chance, you get free blood shards! Hence the Win Win situation, everyone is a winner in the end.
I hope this helps you get tons of loot, and unlike MANY of the farming methods that have come about lately, i dont think this one will be getting the nerfbat, since its the first time anyone has used the communities for what they seem to be for, working together toward a common goal.
The problem is how do you prevent openers just leave without opening the rift? I'm pretty sure there are jerks who would just jack the bloodshard and take off
Say in chat "T2 100%, 3 slots, highest plvl opens"
- It's important that you designate who opens to eliminate confusion. Once your group is full, tell everyone in party who is assigned to open the next rift. (Common rules are: Highest/lowest plvl, first/last to join. You can make up your own rules)
Kill boss, profit. The guy you assigned opens a new rift for you. Free rifts!
After you've done some rifting, you should feel free to sit in the channel and request invites when people post similar messages. You gotta be fast though, because you have approx .5-2 seconds to request an invite before the group will be full. Don't be a jackwad leech though. You should be clearing a rift for every 3 you join to complete.
To be using the community you have to join the community chat, and people are more than willing to post your name and have you put on people's ignore lists.
Coming from the experience of a both a runner and a leecher, I always ignore proven shard thieves and I always open Rifts. The thing is, once you start the RiF train you invariably sit on a massive pile of rift key fragments so being able to open is never an issue. that being said, people try to get away with things but the community is pretty fair in dealing with them.
I have an issue with random invites because I like to do t3 and will soon be t4, how do i know whoever im inviting is going to be able to clear the rift gaurdian with me effectively?

You can dps the rift guardian down yourself a bit before inviting people. Just get him down to 5-15% ish and even if you get poorly geared players you should be able to finish the last bit off yourself.
