Based on the results & using basic math, a good number of players (60%) want BoA removed. And 19% want AH back.
Also, keep in mind this does not count the votes of players who have left the game because of the trading limitations. The anti-BoA votes should be much higher to account for those players.
Remove BoA, this game feels like a single player game with friends, no point of clans, no point of having chat systems. Just make the item be BoE for 24 hours, then switch to BoA on whomever has it at that time.
I'd be curious to see what people think about removing BoA as it relates to our current drop rates. In the unlikely event Blizzard relaxes trading (or adds back an AH), I'm guessing our current "1 Leg per hour on average" drop rate is going bye bye. I don't see how you can have your cake and eat it too without the game going down the tubes.
Either you implement trading and keep drops high in which case everyone is T6 ready in a week and gets bored. Or you implement trading and make drops low in which case trading becomes the de facto best source of items and we're right back to where we were before in D3V (*shudders*).
RoS is far from perfect but it's balanced for what it is, for better or worse.
Why is playing D3-ROS so much fun compared to D3? Cos you can actually find your own stuff, with your own effort.
At least that's what keeps me playing and I'm having a lot of fun IDing every single Leg I get! I dont want no items from other people, and I sure dont wanna buy my items from an AH. D3 was fckd up cos of the AH. Blizz has done a great job in removing the AH and the normal trading system.
As soon as BLizz implements anything that helps people "buy" their items, it's all going to fall apart. Cos trading is in a way also "buying" items. Lets say I offer a good leg in the chat for 10M gold - guess how many people will be going to their chinese colleagues on ebay and start byuing gold?

Nah nah, it's perfect this way!
With that logic, why was D2 successful for 10 years?
I know it's flawed, but I would really like to see some sort of window of opportunity where trading to your friends is an option. Because of work and kids, I'm online randomly, most of the time catching my friends for a few rifts before they have to leave. I often find items that would work wonders for their build, yet with no way to give them the item.
I want a restricted form of trading back. If a good legendary that I can't use drop, there should be a decision between: Giving it to my friends, or forgotten soul, instead of just forgotten soul every time. The requirement of them being in the same game as I am is infeasible, since we don't play at the same time zone.
What theecheshirekat says wont work, cos imagine all the bypass people would use. "Join my clan just for the trade" or "become my friend" just to trade one items to a stranger. So there's no way in my oppinion that u can allow "trade" just for friends or clans. so have it or DONT.
I'd like to see a VERY strictly limited trading system put into the game. For example, you could trade crafting mats or plans, but only on a 1:1 ratio. If I want to trade you my crafting mat, you have to trade one back to me so that we swap equally. Same with plans. I would also like to see this happen with set items, but not with all legendary items, because there would be too much room for exploitation.

i would choose my own religion and worship my own spirit, but if he ever preached to me i wouldn't want to hear it. i'd drop him, a forgotten god, languishing in shame; and then if i hit stormy seas, i'd have myself to blame.
I think maybe a restricted or expensive (expensive through currency/items/time) way of removing BoA from items for trading could work. And then perhaps post-trade, it becomes BoA again unless that person decides to pay to remove BoA again. Say, 10 forgotten souls + 1 mil gold + a 30 minute quest you have to complete to "remove the binding" or something. And perhaps the cost to unbind would scale up as with enchanting, to eventually effectively remove items from the "trading market".
I wish D3 could have free and unrestricted trading as in D2, but the game would have to change. I don't know that it would have to be as bad as it was at launch in terms of finding things that are actually good, but it would probably have to be scaled back enough that it would be opposed by more of the playerbase than those that would support it. If they'd had the philosophy that led to the current version of D3 back in original development rather than what led to the mess it was at release, perhaps free trading could have been incorporated well, but I think it's too late for anything unrestricted now (and maybe too late even for that).
I love about 95% of the current system. The only thing I would change is to allow legs to be transferred within 2 hours of drop to anyone who has been in the guild for at least 1 week (or maybe longer).

Totally agree with you!
I could see it now.
[DFans-Thornagol]: Who wants this extra Thunderfury that dropped?
[DFans-Thornagol]: Just kidding...there is no such thing as an extra Thunderfury.
I really dont like the Bind to account system, trade is good, I dont care if many will make credicard barbarians of whatever, just play they way you like, this will not make the game less fun for me, I play only with my friends, how this can impact my fun? lol
I also prefer the d2 trade yell system, I didnt like the AH system so much ...
When you start to find 6 mempos per week (rng is rng, or not? well, I lost the track of how many times I ve find the same item), trade becomes your best friend ... lol
Trading is part of end-game, whether anyone wishes to admit that or not.
BoA was clearly designed around concerns for the 3rd party trade. It's affecting the quality of the game tremendously. I supported BoA at first. Not anymore.

Votes are collected from various D3 forums & D3 stream viewers. Percentages in the poll are rounded to whole digit.
Update: over 1,300+ votes casted.

Free trade for clans would work too

An unbiased option would read something like "Keep BoA, No AH, No RMAH"
With that logic, why was D2 successful for 10 years?

So i think its kinda hard to find a compromise
only allow items that arent enchanted to be traded
