Just an idea, do you think in the future Blizz will let us set the class we want smart loot for? For instance atm i'm playing my barb but maybe I feel like getting gear for my alt monk, now I don't really feel like playing my monk in crap gear so I could just set smart loot to "Monk" while on my barb and collect gear for him through that. Anyone agree that this would be a pretty good system to have in?
I'm all for an option to turn on and off smart loot. However I'm against being able to specifically farm for another class. You should be able to find gear for other classes like it is now, but not set an option to farm for one class. Personally you should actually have to PLAY the class to have the best odds of gearing it out.

Don't be such a casual, the damn system already panders to what you benefit from. Quit being so damn lazy, if you want alt gear, play the alt. Not like there's not enough methods to get easy gear for alts anyway, haven't figured out blood shards yet?

Sounds like a fair compromise to me just having the ability to turn smart loot off, I like it :D.
Not a bad idea. My only problem at the moment is that smart loot has been less smart since release. When 2.0 hit I almost always got loot with stats for the class I was playing. Now, for example on my wizard, I get so many hand crossbows, mighty belts, spirit stones, etc. It's just odd that the system seemed to be working better for me before release.

I found a blue-quality quiver with strength on it last night and a yellow-quality hand crossbow with intelligence on it a few days ago.
